About Tether
Welcome to TETHER. In this mysterious, hand-crafted platformer, pilot a cute drone and explore the desolate ruins of a space station that mysteriously went dark. Where did everyone go? Why is everything falling apart? Only you can discover the secrets lying just underneath the surface . . .

Controls are simple and accessible - jump, dash, repair and light up the dark - attaching your tether to various checkpoints throughout the ship in order to delve just a little bit deeper . . . just remember not to run out of air!
GROOVY!

- Charming pixel art and animations
- Character/lore-rich story with plenty of dark humor
- Created by one person (which makes the game . . . better, right?)
- Completely original music and score with an emphasis on catchy melodies
- A talking radio that you don't have to listen to at all. He'll keep talking, but you can just ignore him for the most part.

This game is only two dollars and it's good fun. Buy it you cowards support small devs3 found this helpful
I greatly enjoyed this little journey from beginning to end, from the pleasing pixel art, to the wonderful writing that's able to seamlessly transition to light and quirky, to somber and existential believably. And some solid replay-ability to boot! I've had a blast playing and I recommend it highly.3 found this helpful
An honestly enjoyable experience for what this small game has to offer. I really dig the setting of space and the very liminal nature of the environment. The music is also quite charming and really sets the mood for every moment in the game. A really really good first attempt at a game. I genuinely hope this Creator goes on to make more things in the future. Keep it up Kylebricks!
Charming little platformer you can complete in a couple hours. The name Tether won't make sense until the very end (SPOILER:
remember it's there - it will show you the way out!
). You can tell it's the developer's first game, but he's obviously put a lot of heart and soul into the project. For a small map it's beautifully laid out. You'll find many little nuggets peppered throughout the place, which help give the world and story some additional depth. The platforming itself was a little difficult for someone like me (who rarely plays platformers), but not so difficult that I was tearing my hair out in frustration. At first I thought the oxygen mechanic was going to be tedious (you can eventually use it for light, for a quick boost and to heal), but it ended up being really enjoyable managing it all and a couple times I actually died because I ran out. The main villain was a little shallow at times, but makes up for it later by being able to take control of any screen he can find (SPOILER:
make sure you find him in the kitchen! I thought that was hilarious
). If you enjoy exploration just to see what kind of world another indie has create…
heyo fellow gamer's I strongly suggest this game, i'm going to give my best bias opinon on it (hey its gio lol). the game was very short but incredible, the design of the game was amazing and so was the music, I strongly suggest reading through ALL of the computers they both are funny and give more to the story "I miss you almost as much as I miss hot dogs" I also love the character design and the somewhat edgy comedy. (btw be careful of the crushers I got body slammed by them a handful of times!). but now for the criticism: I would've preferred the movement's to be WASD and not the arrow keys but its not that big of a deal, another issue is although I do say the music is good it is very short, and lastly I never found out why the keys where in the bathroom ): but over all i think this is a great game and suggest it to everyone considering its low price, I know im late to play but hey better late then never. I NEED TETHER 2
It's 2023 and yet this game still doesn't have WSAD movement. The controls aren't rebindable. If I had known that in advance I probably wouldn't have bothered playing this game, both in retrospect and in general. The story is good but lacked punch because the music wasn't god-tier (AKA Undertale-tier). The character didn't feel great to control, but not on the level where it's rise to a criticism.
