STORY SYNOPSIS
By the year 2500 Earth had become toxic and unsafe for human life. Pollution and overpopulation had ravaged the planet, forcing humanity to the stars. Colonies and settlements soon sprung up across the solar system, but man had not left its thirst for war behind. Then, they learned the Sun was dying, and everything changed. Only when faced with a threat greater than each other did the nations of man finally come together. The United Colonies of SOL (UCS) was born, its first and only mission: to locate a new home for mankind, safely beyond the doomed borders of our solar system.
Suit up and take on the role of the Lieutenant Williams and enigmatic Brother Aelius as you battle a mysterious enemy within humanity's solar system and beyond!

I had an absolute BLAST with this game. Really fun simple space combat game. The voice acting is entertaining. At first I wondered but later I became sure that some is done way over the top as a satirical homage to the old greats like Wing Commander. For example, you can easily tell who the bad guys are because of the voice acting. Also, the banter between your squad mates is very often hilariously cringe but on-purpose. It's one fun game, no doubt about it.2 found this helpful
Default keybinds are ultra confusing and don't follow any kind of easy to remember logic. Flight controls are wonky as heck. Hard pass.1 found this helpful
It's perfectly serviceable....until it's not. Things go downhill fast the closer you get to end of the campaign.

Cool little indie project reminds me of the old Xwing series. Minor glitches but so did Xwing. Note: This is pretty much just a remake of the first half of Sol: Exodus. And it also ends on a cliffhanger. Hopefully the devs don't abandon the series.
