So this is Christmas? I really enjoy a HOPA now and again for a short puzzle experience in between other games. Figured I'd play this Christmas one it being in the season and all. Have to say that my expectations for these kinds of games are not exactly high, but clearly some are better than expected and some are worse. Unfortunately this falls in the latter category. The graphics are nice, the atmosphere is ok enough, but the story is terrible. So is the voice acting for the most part. The story is totally senseless and even cringeworthy at times. I'd rather kiss a reindeer's behind than having to go through that again. Not to mention the puzzles. It's way too easy and nothing original except for maybe a couple of the HO's. One can clearly see that this whole mess was abruptly put together to get it ready for the season and was given barely or any thought other than to get it out on time. I'm sad to say that the best part was when it was over. There are better Christmas HOPAS out there. I'd stay clear of this one if I were you. I'd rank it a 3 out of 10 (mostly for the art and atmosphere) You might of course have a different opinion than myself. They are very subjective of co…3 found this helpful
I mean it's the Grimm Tales spin on a Christmas HOG, of course it's amazing. This is the best of the best, beautiful atmosphere, good voice acting, great puzzles, no bugs or typos.. you just won't find anything better. It's worth buying full price it is THAT good. Very nice game, pretty pictures & fun storyline. - It's a bit too quiet though - there are long periods of play without any music, and especially with a Christmas game, music is important for setting the festive mood. - Some solutions are not very logical BUT I appreciate that more than things that are super obvious, so even though there are some silly things, at least this game is original and makes you think a bit. - Also has a good variety of puzzles from super-easy to some head-scratchers. I love adventure games like these - a wide variety of puzzles and extras as well. the graphics are beautiful in games like these too. Fun!
Enjoyable but some of the puzzle section didn't allow a skip portion unlike the other Christmas Stories game series
Insultingly easy.
