After successfully working through all 5 nights (and finding out there are MORE challenges after the fact..), I really enjoyed my time with The Dark Delivers. Starting off, the premise of the game is quite simple & I thought it would be a piece of cake! Inspecting packages while babysitting some mean critters from attacking me? How hard could that be! Well.. That 5th night REALLY got to me, but, I didn't give up! Nights 1-3 are mainly good tutorials, introducing new mechanics & letting you get the hang of the task(s) at hand. Sometimes each package has a little twist or SOMETHING off about it (but I was always oblivious to that, haha). Overall, I have yet to complete the epilogues & follow up on the lore, but more updates are coming (confirmed by the devs)! I am excited to see more games from JaB Arcade, especially after the great experience I had with this one! :^)3 found this helpful
The Dark Delivers provides a well-made stationary survival game that builds on each mechanic after every night. I personally enjoy the way that later monsters iterate on how earlier monsters interact with the gameplay. Although some of the monsters mechanics aren't specifically explained to the player, they aren't too abstract for the player to understand how to deal with them. Overall, I really like the gameplay and how the lore gives context to what I was doing in the game. With everything I've played, I've had a lot of fun and am looking forward to seeing what's next.1 found this helpful
This game has some solid FNAF vibes, with some interesting mechanics that make you want to keep going on into the next night over and over, the challenge modes are pretty challenging once you get the mechanics of the game down, and I honestly find the point and click aspect of it makes it easier to wrap your head around and immerse yourself in it. Sometimes, like in FNAF, RNG will get ya and there isn't much you can do about it, but that's how it is with all these games LOL still an absolute blast. Couldn't quite beat nightmare mode, but I'll be back again to earn my crown. If you enjoy FNAF type games, and want to support indie devs, pick this one up, you won't be disappointed.1 found this helpful
This is a honest review, if you like FNAF and papers please then you'll love this! Its deserving to be more well known. I wasnt expecting much but I was happily surprised on how good it is and how smooth the gameplay is. Most of the deaths were definitely my fault and it was fun overcoming that. Worth more than the price so definitely play it if you can.1 found this helpful
Spooky
I got this as a key and I was NOT disappointed. The eerie atmosphere and the monsters were creepy in the best possible way. I loved this game and I recommend it! 10/10 game for sure!!
