The Guest II

One word can describe this experience... INTENSE. It started off with me having the worst flashlight in the history of indie horror game flashlights! lol. A rather silly idea to go camping in the woods, as we find out later that my friends got brutally tortured! A very creepy atmosphere with some gaming lore which was cool. Not only did we witness the grandma, we have another individual, maybe grandmas husband, the creepy grandpa with a chainsaw. I enjoyed the story and the way the game played from start to finish had me gripped and on the edge of my seat from the eeriness and anticipation as to what is happening next. It ended off with me being captured and possibly killed? I did retrieve another film reel, maybe that was intended to be my film? The Guest II is a compact first-person psychological horror experience that understands how effectively uncertainty can create fear. Developed and published by 99 Grados Games, it continues the disturbing supernatural ideas of its predecessor while introducing a new situation centered on a camping trip that goes terribly wrong. Instead of beginning with an elaborate explanation, the story gives the player a simple motivation: meet up with friends in the wilderness. Upon reaching the meeting point, however, nobody is there. Searching for them gradually transforms an ordinary disappearance into something far more sinister. The forest provides an effective opening environment because isolation immediately becomes part of the horror. Rain, darkness, silence, and the absence of the protagonist's companions create the impression that something is wrong long before the full supernatural situation becomes apparent. Eventually, the search leads toward an isolated house hidden among the trees. This is where the experience becomes considerably more oppressive, replacing the relative openness of the wilderness with enclosed rooms, narrow spaces, uncertain shadows, and architecture that cannot…

As good as the first! Another abrupt ending tho. Sadge.

The first Guest game I completed in half an hour. This game it took about half an hour to walk to the first puzzle. There are so many things wrong with this that I just don't care to list them all. Avoid.

Decent horror experience. Some good jumps and Easy puzzles <3 love it !!

the walking is slow, which I didn't necessarily mind, I just wish I could run away quicker instead of having to change my pants haha. Great sound design, I didn't get stuck on the puzzles which is a big win in my book and it has some really good scares.
