A diplomatic mission...with a lethal twist!
YOU are a hunter; a man or woman of wealth and leisure who has turned their time to hunting the fiendish monsters that assail humanity. You have been selected to accompany an ambassador to the city of Roche Divine in the Sunlight Alliance. While he pursues trade deals in the high court, your job is to hunt down a Broadsheet Killer who is wreaking havoc in the Low City.
A choose your own adventure novel in which your choices and actions can lead you to glorious victory...or ignoble defeat. Explore an original story with three challenging game difficulties, unlock hidden lore to better understand the world you enter, and enjoy the artwork you discover in the gallery.
This independently produced novel features a dark soundtrack (with optional atmospherics) by Cryo Chamber, as well as over 40 unique page images to unlock.
The text of the game has also been recorded by a professional musician and story-teller, making it into an interactive audiobook. Featuring an improved interface layout, and introducing the new Heirloom system to help you make it through your most challenging adventure to date, Red Ripper is an old-fashioned, spine-chilling steampunk tale you can enjoy time and time again.

[B] “You are a hunter of beasts and monsters”. [/B] So begins our next quest in the “Hunter’s Journals” series. But, this one changes it up quite bit as you now have “Heirloom” weapons or armor you can take along. You can only select one, you can however change your selection and see it will affect your outcome. It is all about choice; you determine your own fate. My fate was to die pretty quickly because I launched right into expert mode. It sounded easy enough. Right? Wrong. This is a maze through a cornfield, you need to be strategic and think about your options. Luckily it was an easy reload and selection of a new story arc. I opted to die many times just to see how it would play out. Like its predecessors “The Hunter's Journals - Red Ripper” is another rich absorbing story. You have a new basket of skill-sets and weapons at your disposal. You will see no violence, blood or gore; combat is done by throwing the dice. I let the story tell itself'' - James Herbert[/i] [b]Grindwheel Games[/b] second Halloween release of their [u]Hunter's Journal[/u] series of CYOA continues on with [i]Red Ripper[/i] which sees the Hunter hired to journey, alongside an Ambassador, to the once glorious city of Roche Divine of the Sunlight Alliance that is now a grimy, notorious shadow of itself. The Hunter's mission is to track & hunt a Broadsheet Killer (so called because a Broadsheet was a large sheet press that focused on Prime News of the day particularly serial murders, crimes and more) who gruesomely murders victims leaving a trail of mystery, dread and gore in the killer's wake. In this new adventure the Hunter requires a much more refrained approach as Roche Divine is a city of contrasts where etiquette, caste and a destitute population mean the wrong words or actions can have disastrous results even when the Hunter is proficient in the Enochian language. As with every Choose Your Own Adventure tale, each choice made can lead to many early deaths and it will be no different here as you try & learn from your wrong…7 found this helpful
