About The Journey into the Virtual Void
The Journey into the Virtual Void is a captivating low-poly VR platformer/adventure game, reminiscent of classic 90s platformers like Mario 64.
You play as a devoted gamer, utterly captivated by a retro platformer on your computer. Night after night, you immerse yourself in the game, sacrificing sleep for just one more level. But one fateful night, after playing until 4 AM, you crawl into bed, only to be startled awake by the sound of an explosion.
Rushing to investigate, you find a mysterious portal has opened, pulling you into the very game that has consumed your waking hours. Now trapped inside, you must navigate through various levels, battling rogue armies, collecting coins and other pickups, and restoring order to the virtual void.

Your ultimate goal is to defeat the formidable end-of-game Boss, Ogleath. Only by overcoming this final challenge can you close the portal and return home.
*Nostalgic Gameplay: Relive the charm of 90s platformers with modern VR technology.
*Immersive Levels: Explore diverse levels filled with unique challenges and vibrant, low-poly environments.
*Engaging Combat: Fight off rogue armies and formidable bosses.
*Collectibles Galore: Gather coins, power-ups, and other pickups to aid your journey.
*Epic Showdown: Face the ultimate challenge in an intense boss battle against Ogleath.
*Embark on The Little Journey into the Virtual Void and experience the thrill of a classic platformer brought to life in virtual reality.

*This game was developed by a solo Indie developer (unless you include my dog who was my co-producer), the game has been developed and tested using the Meta Quest 2 & 3 and Rift S for PCVR, other headsets have not been tested yet. II am now aware that at present the game has an issue with Valve Index controller. Players using the Valve Index are unable to grab the weapon and move. I will be looking at fixing this as soon as I can. I have only been able to play test this using Meta Quest 3 so I apologize for any issues.
This VR Game was built and runs on the OpenXR SDK.
Experienced on the Meta Quest 3
You can view my gameplay & early impressions here: https://youtu.be/m8Z4W1W_hmQ There's no nice to way to say this. This is an awful game. It's in Early Access and still in active development (allegedly), but if the dev is reading this and assuming the dev is genuine in their attempt to make a good game, the best advice I could give the dev is to scrap the game and restart. Make one good level versus putting several crappy ones together. The game art style looks like it was taken from one of those cheap Humble Bundle character / map model assets. I'm surprised if anyone is still buying them though. Maybe they're all being pirated and that's why we have so many games with this awful art style. Please stop though. Gamers don't like these art assets. There's a reason they're so cheap ... because they look cheap. If the only problem was the artwork, then I could possibly still recommend this game. Unfortunately, the gameplay is also pretty bad. The platforming feels slow, sluggish, and floaty. Nothing feels good about it. I had problems picking up the magical staff. I had to press grab several times before the game would let me pick it up. …3 found this helpful
OMG Really enjoying this game. The graphics and level layout are super cute and simple, which I really like. It's still in early access, so I'm sure it will improve. The only issues I've noticed are that the flash of light and explosions when you enter the gates at the start of a level are way too bright, and the weapon can be kinda hard to grab at first. Also, moving around can feel a bit sluggy sometimes. My fps while playing stayed around 92fps. The driving level was really fun, but it made me too tall, so I had to use the reset height button in the menu. Overall, it's a fun, short, and colorful game. Please can the bright flashing be removed at the gates. I'd give it an 7/10 in its current state.1 found this helpful
My play of the game: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x2lFEyqE2CY I'm afraid this has to be a no from me. Confusing mechanics. Confusing everything else. Confusing design. Kinda buggy it feels too. I *think* the idea behind this could be a fun little VR game; but this didn't manage to be that for me.
