Unfortunately, try as I might, I am unable to play the game as the display does is TOO DARK and I am unable to see anything.2 found this helpful
Bought on sale because it looked interesting and right up my alley, hadn't looked into it too much and realised a little too late that it is 99% AI made. It had potential to be something great but realising the devs were too lazy to use their brains and hands to actually make something and just handed every piece of creation off to AI makes this a dissapointment. Making a game from scratch is hard but not impossible, and could've truly easily been done without using AI, as the internet is full of creative people who love to volunteer to help projects they like or just to add things to their resume. 0/10.1 found this helpful
Overall: 5/10 Buy only when on sale. The atmosphere was done quite well. It's pretty spooky in some parts without being over-the-top scary. The locations chosen are also perfect for a detective. The plot started out pretty interesting, but after this is where it all goes downhill for me. Just as you are thinking you are getting deeper into unravelling the full story...it ends. With the most generic, cliché twist ever (however there is no build-up to it or hints to it beforehand in the game itself. It just happens). I honestly didn't understand why some story points were even mentioned because nothing is being done with them, they are just dropped and you never learn anything about it again. Puzzles are very easy and you don't even need to think much about it (it's pretty much just searching for code combinations to open locks). In my opinion, the game should have been at least 5 hours longer and explored the story more, rather than just gutting it suddenly for no reason. There should have been more puzzles, more exploration and locations. There are so many ways it could have developed (they had a good starting point), but none of this was done. Almost looks like a cashgrab to ma…1 found this helpful
The story is good but the game is poorly executed: 1. There's some AI assets, I don't understand why, it looks cheap and it's not subtle (for instance the painting in the asylum are horrible but not in scary more like cheap horrible). 2. The game is not well optimized even with my computer it lags. I still recommend it because the story is good, but please avoid AI it looks cheap while the other elements of the game are really good.
Wonderfully atmospheric and with a twist that I didn't see coming, though that has more to do with intentional misleading on the part of the game and some plot holes that you cannot look at too closely or the whole thing unravels. That said, this is more of a walking simulator than a puzzle game where you are truly only asked to solve a few puzzles, but most times you find a key in the only open room, which lets you into another room where there is another key lying on a table. Mystery games are hard to do well (or write well); you need to work backwards and be meticulous with clues. This one suffers from a few profound problems: early explanations for things that happened to the detective prior to the story feel unbelievable, already making one suspicious of the game's writing from the start; there was a profound lack of attention to detail resulting in characters' names changing throughout the story because no one proofed it, missing sounds and textures, and leaps in logic; inconsistent understanding of their own game mechanics (i.e. we can visualize past events as described in diaries or which can reasonably be assumed due to clues, until the game gives up on that and just star…
This horror game was one for the books, I loved the storyline, the twist was out of this world, however, I had my suspicions through the clues. It all was coming together slowly, but surely. The manor was beautiful, and eerie I will say. The puzzles were a bit difficult for me to solve, so I had some help, but overall this was one heck of a game. 10/10 would recommend if you love a good twist or just a good detective game.
