Not the game I remember. I played the original and it was a favourite game of mine. This completely overhauls the controls ina way that makes them worse, and introduces tutorial prompts that actually broke the game for me. I was saving this game for when I needed a pick-me-up, only to hacve it turn into an exercise in frustration as one of the tutorial prompts completely halted my ability to play as it glitched out. Don't bother. Hit up GOG for a version that works.1 found this helpful
The game itself is fun, but this particular port is broken. Sometimes it crashes immediately on startup. Other times, the wrong scene loads, putting the game into an unwinnable state. I highly suggest waiting for a remaster.
Quite impressed by the game but I really needed a walkthrough to fully appreciate the plot. The key pain point was that the directional arrows get quite confusing when it's not consistent, e.g. between sleeping cars and restaurant cars, so that hindered speed walking and getting around. There's a surprisingly thick plot and it was very well-implemented with the multiple endings.

Absolutely love this game. Nothing has ever been made since even remotely like it.
One of my favorite games of all time. A classic murder mystery set in the week leading up to World War One. You must solve the clues to unravel the mystery.
