adorable point & click adventure, though it's more of an escape room on a train. [b]laughable basic functionality[/b], a single 'silent mode' toggle, not even separate music and sfx toggles, let alone volume settings. what the ♥♥♥♥? there's a 'gameplay quality' toggle, doesn't do much, as well as the option for an 'alternative' cursor and a few languages. 2 difficulty modes, easy has simplified puzzles, more hints and a found object counter. ♥♥♥♥ off with hiding quality of life behind arbitrary difficulty settings. add a few more toggles to your practically empty settings, done. they aren't available while playing, so couldn't try the other cursor option on the fly, and despite the store page minimum, I couldn't get the game to work on win7. looks really nice, sounds okay, instant and silent text display, but [b]often missing punctuation and dialog flows at its own pace[/b], no option to only advance it manually, nor is it possible to skip a line with a click. cutscenes pause after each piece of text, so it's inconsistent on top of annoying. not sure if there's autosaving, there's certainly no indication, but [b]save and quit[/b] is a thing. It's a good game and it touches important yet heavy topics. Like the brief description says, it a short but tragic journey. Nonetheless, it is still a great story. The writing was very well done and balanced with the gameplay activities. I must admit I shed a few tears but that also reinforced my decision to recommend this game. If it touches your heart and soul, it's probably a good one. All I can say is, expect to be hit by a truck -figuratively-, because when that part hits, it hits that hard.

TL;DR, The message is good but the execution of the game did not do justice to it - Very basic point-and-click puzzle gameplay, and even confusing at times - With a basic story + And a straight forward message - A few minor bugs during gameplay (e.g. fast traveling from 7th Room to 5th or 6th might lead you to the number lock instead of traveling) - Poor setting menu, no options to turn down Music and SE volume, but entirely muting them - Need to replay the whole game to 100% achievement, I will pass given the low pace of storytelling and no "Chapter Select" It was a struggle to leave a thumbs down to it given the low price (and during sale), but again, low price is never an excuse for unsatisfying game experience.
