The Good: A decent sized Zelda-like world, fun dungeon design, reasonable difficulty, some good music/jingles, a nice pixel art style, and overall pretty fun gameplay. The Not-So Good: I've ran into a few glitches, including ones where I got stuck in a spot and couldn't move. Fortunately, I could reload the save and get out of it. Some of the combat can be a bit janky. This is a pretty good game and scratches the Zelda itch I've had. I got it on sale and it's pretty fun. I'm happy to give a review. Thanks Tom.

i recommend this it was fun intriguing. the characters are funny to some extent, they say a bunch of game lore from other games like i used to be an adventure but.... you know the rest. theres many easter eggs in this game mentioning other games, puzzles are interesting and not overly difficult some are just tricky do deal with. the story and ending is quite interesting and honestly quite good. now there have been bugs in this game and i have been in contact with the developer over certain bugs not game breaking but can be a nuisance but they listen and are very receptive of feedback. ive talked with a few indie developers and this guy is one that truly cares about the community. is the game long not really it took me about 12hrs to fully beat the game and achieve 100% completion. so you can enjoy yourself for a good amount of time. Pros: - interesting story and characters - easter eggs galore - an awesome dev who cares - great price tag for what you play cons: - there are some bugs and are in the works of being fixed - bow mechanic is a tad slow. but a rework is in the works but overly the pros out weight the cons and these cons are being addressed so buy the game try it…

The Legends of Tynedale developed and published by Ed Den Gaming is a retro-inspired top-down action-adventure that clearly draws from the design philosophy of classic 16-bit era dungeon crawlers while carving out its own modest identity. Built around exploration, puzzle-solving, and methodical combat, the game embraces a nostalgic structure without attempting to overwhelm players with sprawling mechanics or modern open-world complexity. Instead, it offers a focused, handcrafted journey through a compact fantasy realm that rewards curiosity and careful progression. The narrative follows a young adventurer named Geordie, who sets out to complete the unfinished quest of his grandfather and uncover the mysteries plaguing the land of Tynedale. The story unfolds gradually through environmental storytelling, light dialogue exchanges, and the steady acquisition of new tools that unlock previously inaccessible areas. Rather than relying on heavy exposition or cinematic storytelling, the game lets exploration drive narrative discovery. Each new region visited feels like a small chapter in an unfolding legend, with secrets hidden in caves, forests, and ruins that deepen the sense of adventu…
