I've only played the Knight so far but two things just stand out from the first room: - Controls are super smooth and accurate. - Pixels and collisions and other hit-boxes are spot on. This leads to a super fun gameplay. Character progression is pretty simple but helps customize your hero between floors, just like upgrading your gear by spending your well earned coins. One big negative for colourblind: Enemy shields are colour coded, like the four main buttons on your controller. You need to match your attack to the shield's colour in order to destroy the shield. Looking forward to shared screen co-op and solo runs.3 found this helpful
There is a surprising amount of depth to the gameplay. Combos feel good, enemies are varied, there's a shocking amount of thought required for positioning and timing. That said, I'm not sure if I'm going to enjoy this game for all that much longer. You have a fixed, and fairly limited, set of abilities for a given character, so progression doesn't feel all that great, and I get the feeling things will start to feel samey before too long. Also, the art's pretty bad, but that should be obvious from the screenshots. It's probably worth about $2, which is about what I paid for it. So, it gets a lukewarm recommendation.1 found this helpful
Really cool local coop dungeon crawler!
Fun dungeoncrawler with beatem up type combat, also 4p coop is great, tho the controller support is pretty iffy (the control customisation screen doesnt seem to work). The lvl ups unfortunately go entirely to offense or defense since the individual skill lvl ups are simply a lot weaker than choosing to kill enemies or to outlive them. Difficulty is also suprisingly high, however the option to change to a lower one is always there and casual is a pretty comfy time.
