What if Jesus had been able to escape his crucifixion? Would he escape the Romans, who are still bent on enforcing their death sentence? Or maybe even start a family with his great love? Just slip into his role and figure it out!But before it is time to settle down with his beloved lady, there is still a lot to do. There are a lot of riddles to be solved and secrets to be revealed while searching for a missing person.
Delve into the atmosphere of the first century. Experience a fascinating adventure filled with biblical quotes, allusions to the Holy Scripture, and a lot of black humor. Play detective and decide at the end of the game for yourself which version of the historical narrative you want to believe in.
To enjoy this adventure, it does not matter which religion you belong to, or if you consider the bible to be just a thick book of fairytales. Nobody is supposed to be "proselytized" and nobody's religious feelings are supposed to get offended.
All you need to enjoy this game is a computer which fulfills the minimum technical requirements, as well as a liking for stories, the solving of riddles, and a good sense of humor. Then 7-12 hours of thrilling entertainment are waiting for you.

Admittedly, I wasn't aware that this game's story would deviate very significantly from the bible. (My bad). Anyways, the premise of this game is that the death & resurrection did not happen and your first goal as Jesus is to run off in secret with Mary Magdeline. I liked the humor and use of scripture in preview video, but the actual plot & characterizations in this game crossed a line that even comedies like South Park steer clear from when depicting divine religious figures. The initial portrayal of Jesus in this game is that he's a liar (and possibly coward and manipulator among other negative traits). He does not want to tell the truth to his disciples. He is okay escaping while they die in his name. He also denies events in the new testament (ex. the transfiguration) seemingly out of nowhere, even though it is irrelevant to the plot. I stopped playing at that point (not very far in) and read some reviews. The 'Adventure Games Podcast' review said that Jesus is depicted later on as homophobic. This is another invention by the developer as Jesus said nothing on the topic in the bible. It's an interesting game, totally worth its price. I liked the story, which was kinda funny at times. Some of the puzzles were quite difficult and illogical, but I liked the challenge. And, even though I'm not a religious person at all, the game can teach you a thing or two about Jesus. Great job! Till next time, don't forget to point & click!8 found this helpful
