2D platformer with action and survival elements, in which the player explores a gloomy world, avoiding traps and enemies ✅The graphics are varied, sometimes colorful, sometimes dark ✅The music also fits the game's atmosphere very well ✅30 levels ❌There's no character development or usable skills ❌The hitboxes in this game are a joke. Sometimes a character or attack doesn't react in time, and you could die ❌What good is 30 levels if they're terribly repetitive, they don't differ in any way, and after a while, I got bored ❌The price is too high considering the repetition and bugs ❌❌Verdict: [b] Very Bad [/b] , [strike] Bad [/strike] , [strike] Average [/strike] , [strike] Decent [/strike] , [strike] Good [/strike] , [strike] Very Good [/strike] (Rating scale for tested games) If you have any questions about my reviews, feel free to ask. Im happy to answer them. All reviews are my own!! Best regards, King Viking Bezimienny, Polish Game Reviewer.

The Shadowland is a compact yet demanding indie platformer that reflects a very focused design philosophy, one centered on precision, perseverance, and atmosphere. Developed by Bloodcraft Dev and published by Volens Nolens Games, the title places players in control of a small reaper-like figure lost within a bleak, hostile realm. From the very beginning, the game establishes its identity through minimal exposition and a heavy reliance on mood, allowing the dark environments and relentless challenges to communicate the sense of isolation and danger that defines the Shadowland itself. At its core, the experience is built around tight, reflex-driven platforming. Each level is designed to test timing, spatial awareness, and the player’s ability to read hazards quickly and react decisively. Spikes, moving platforms, enemy patrols, and environmental traps are arranged in ways that often demand near-perfect execution. Failure is frequent, but also expected, as the game clearly embraces repetition as a learning tool. Progress comes from memorizing patterns, refining movement, and gradually improving execution rather than from upgrades or mechanical shortcuts. This makes every successful r…

love the art style and animations but you die like every 10 seconds. feels like you are constantly backed into a corner of, Ok i wait here for enemy to turn to jump over him to only be hit by a fast flying bird, or okay i need to jump over the saw but if i jump no i hit a bird then proceed to get shot. died far to many times that it became a bore and not fun. then death counter just seemed to be mocking me

This is a simple and not difficult platformer. For me, the plus of this game story is not boring )

Low effort echo of the greenlight era. Even if it wasn't some free Unity platformer sample game, they didn't do much to improve it. Down the dumpster it goes.
