[i]The Spirit Weaver[/i] is a kinetic visual novel centered on tarot divination and spiritual healing. You play as Alora, a young witch from a line of powerful witches, who one night is transported to the Spirit Realm, which she finds to be in complete disarray. A rogue entity known as "The Entropy" is draining the energy of other spirits, leaving its victims with no memory of the attack or any knowledge of the attacker's identity. With the help of her three spirit guides, Alora must restore the victims' lost energy through tarot readings while piecing together clues to uncover who The Entropy really is and what it wants. Before every tarot session, Alora converses with the spirit she needs to heal to understand their backstory and the root of their pain. The reading itself shows you a random tarot card (or, later in the game, a pair), offering three possible interpretations. If you want to learn about tarot, DON'T BUY THIS! There is very little opportunity to learn, just a bunch of guessing about things that make no sense. Also, 95% of the game is about reading dialogues with random spirits... Why would anyone want to do that?!

The Spirit Weaver is a promising work with a strong artistic foundation, but it still needs significant polish in terms of narrative, characterization, gameplay structure, and technical features to truly shine in the highly competitive visual novel genre.

Beautiful game with a powerful message using tarot cards. Definitely worth trying if you like the genre.
