✦ AI summary

Players consistently praise this game's strong execution of classic JRPG fundamentals, particularly its strategic turn-based combat system with unique mechanics like the boost and shield-breaking systems, engaging story and world-building with memorable characters, and beautiful hand-drawn art and music that belie its RPG Maker engine. Common minor complaints include occasional unbalanced enemy difficulty that can be addressed through grinding, some technical glitches, and the story ending on a cliffhanger for a planned sequel, though these issues don't significantly detract from the overall e

really enjoying this one! Just a few hours in, and it captures that classic JRPG feeling really well. The combat has enough strategy to keep battles fun, exploration has been fun thanks to the interesting characters and lore, and I especially loved the intro and how it sets up the world and the beautiful character art. I'm already invested in the story and excited to see where it goes

7/10 Some enemies and bosses are a bit unbalanced, which can usually be fixed by some amount of grinding. I've had a few glitches here or there but nothing game-breaking so far, the rest of the game was pretty stable though. The story was genuinely enjoyable. Although the game notably ends on a cliffhanger due to a supposedly upcoming sequel, I still found the story more entertaining than a lot of games these days. The combat was very unique for a turn-based, especially the boost system which was still fun even at the end of my 29 hour playthrough. Don't let the rpg maker engine fool you, this is still lots of fun to play. The visuals and music were still really nice, for an rpg maker. The devs did a good job on the general look and ambiance. The game runs about 28-31 hours, but due to the occasional glitches and lack of polishing I would pick it up on a sale instead of paying full price. Still a good game and excited for the sequel. *edit: with the recently added fast travel and difficulty settings this game is much more polished! other qol improvements have been made and i recommend picking this up

This game perfectly blends the classic RPG spirit with modern mechanics. Having visible enemies instead of random encounters keeps the pacing fantastic, while the shield-breaking mechanic and over 200 unique enemies turn every fight into a satisfying tactical puzzle. With a roster of 10 heroes, beautiful hand-drawn art, and Zelda-esque exploration, it delivers a truly deep adventure. If you're looking for a solid, story-driven RPG with real strategic depth, you should definitely try it
