The Telephone is an extremely dark and disturbing horror game. In this game you wake up in a room with a telephone, and use the telephone to transport yourself to places such as a small village, a creepy house, a cornfield, a small park, sewers, and a school. During your travels you fight against flying demons and an unrelenting scarecrow, but 90% of the game is exploring, finding items, and solving puzzles. The game took 4.5 to finish. + The graphics are a bit mid range, however the atmosphere in this game is unparalleled. There is nothing quite like it, it sucks you in and doesn't let go. The setting is a bit "Silent Hill" like, a bit open world, but with a much more mature deep dark story. There is quite the variety of locations to explore. + Massive jump scares that will try to give you a heart attack. Severe tension and creepiness throughout the whole game. + The story is interesting throughout the first few hours as you are trying to figure out the mystery of ten missing girls. The way the story wraps up at the very end of the game is absolutely phenomenal. + The voice acting is in Italian, (With english subtitles), and all the voices are superb. You know those reviews that say they cannot understand negative reviews? Well this is one of them! This game was completely atmospheric. It starts out in a room with a phone, then expands endlessly from there! The locations get more interesting as you go. Things change, that's all I'll say without ruining it. Sure it take a while to get into the groove, but once you do, it's pretty awesome. Scary at times, but never too much. A few good jump scares and the sound effects are completely beyond excellent!! If I had to complain, it would be that the sleep feature doesn't really work, there's a good bit of back-tracking (but many things change). It's a big area and navigation can get a bit confusing at times. If you miss a dialog, you might not always know what to do next as the TASK system doesn't always tell you, even though it's supposed to. There are many cool puzzles everywhere as well. The in-game movie clips are creepy and cool. Overall I absolutely loved the game. Sure it's not perfect, but it's incredibly atmospheric, mysterious and creepy but with a very good story. Try it and give it a chance!! BRAVO!!!

[pro] - good horror adventure with captivating (pun intended) story - atmospheric and arty [con] - game creates lots of txt files on my desktop, why??? - only italian voices, not even english - subtitles often cut off for long dialogues so you will probably miss some lines - ending a bit unsatisfying (what about the other closed cells?) - final boss fight very frustrating. come on, people are buying adventures for the adventure, why do devs think they have to include such stuff into games like that? my recommendation: Yes, the game may have its issues, but overall it was a good game and fans of the genre should have a look and buy it on discount.

This game has so many bugs i may need an exterminator. Game freezes while examining inventory and you die, have to start over in beginning of chapter. There is manual no save points. You can't pause the game to use the restroom, so you die while on the toilet from starvation or fright. I have 7 hours of play in this nauseating game, going to try for a refund...don't waste your money even if it's on sale

I really enjoy playing games by this single Dev...very creative and fun games. And i do not agree with the negative reviews at all. This game is a PC horror game that centers around a mysterious, unsettling telephone used to navigate through a series of cryptic and often disturbing environments with an intriguing concept, and some jump scares. The story is very mysterious and will keep you in suspense the whole game. And the atmosphere and sound design are well done. I have not completed the game but am 7.0 hours in....WELL DONE Dev!
