worth the money, not good for neurodivergants who get easily angry with stealth missions where you have to get away from a red light. for me, i was hiding in a corner where the red light couldn't detect me, then suddenly i get caught. and when i was literally in a 'safety' zone, the guards still got me. i don't want to play anymore. sorry. pretty sure i was heading towards a bad ending anyway.

Overview The concept of following other players' trails while leaving your own path is intriguing, but I don't think it ever reaches its full potential. Gameplay quickly becomes repetitive, reducing the mechanic to simple trial-and-error like spotting broken platforms, avoiding bad hiding spots, or playing rock, paper, scissors. Performance is acceptable, though confusingly rough at times. Additionally, a persistent, unremovable crosshair sits in the center of the screen; with no shooting mechanics and a generous pickup radius, it feels unnecessary and distracting. Story & Characters The narrative premise is fascinating placing you in the final moments of a dying, resource-scarce world where progress relies heavily on the goodwill of other players. Also I find the idea that your friends and family could one day play the game and feel connected to you through your leftover trail to be somewhat inspiring. However, the cast fails to match the setting's depth. Characters remain rigid in their archetypes without any real growth. Pacing & Length The game's primary problem in my eyes, is its length. it has really fun and color world with a good story

Liked Road 96, LOVED this game. 10/10. Very neat game!!! Only minimal complaints like repetitive music, so I turned the music way down about 3 hours in. Very innovative, creative game with high replayability. Like Road 96, my initial opinions of how I thought things should happen changed a bit with more information. More likable characters in this game than Tides of Tomorrow. I also love Dying Light and I feel like this game had some elements of it in it, regarding post apocalyptic world feel and the climbing/run/chase mechanics. I wish since you can do a female body and male voice, you could also have a character be referred to they instead of he or she, but, alas. Great plot twists and some complex character motivations, enjoyed some cameos from Road 96 at the end. Seed is 2513-7150

The game at first wasn't my taste visually, but the worldbuilding makes the story feel way bigger and more significant and personal at times. I'd say the best aspect of the story is how you decide to play it considering previous player's choice because it makes things more interesting as you have to guess whether they made the right choice and whether you want to deviate from their path or not. This game's best value is making each individual tidewalker feel the need to leave their mark in a sea of them.
