✦ AI summary

Players appreciate the game's simple core concept of adjacency-based bonuses but feel it's oversimplified to the point of being confusing and strategically flat, with opaque mechanics like asymmetrical bonuses that are hard to track. Common frustrations include invisible fields, inconsistent sprite variants that confuse rather than enhance aesthetics, and UI issues with tile selection that make gameplay less intuitive than it should be.

I gave a scrappy project a chance, and I'm sorry to say that it wasn't deserved. I don't want to be mean to what I presume is a solo dev, but I feel like a playtester so I'm sharing my feedback. - The core concept of granting bonuses for adjacency feels like it's trying to be as simple as possible. But it's so simple that every tile feels the same, and that makes it very opaque. It promotes neither interesting strategy, nor aesthetic towns, nor ease of use. - Asymmetrical bonuses (A benefits from B, but B doesn't benefit from A) are particularly opaque and difficult to track. - Bizarre choice to make fields invisible. - Many tiles have variant sprites, which are just different enough to confuse but not different enough that it benefits the aesthetic. - Tile selection UI should show sprites for each tile mentioned. - No option to mute, which I immediately wanted to do. - Much smaller map options should exist. - The first red flag on this game is that it looks like the aspect ratio is screwed up on the steam capsule.
