After some time, the shield-gun mechanic becomes too frustrating to let you enjoy the game. The game plays like any other shooter. You can move your robot left and right, jump, fire your gun in two different modes, and use shield. The two firing modes are standard bullets and non-lethal grenade that can stun enemies and fry devices such as cameras for a few seconds. The last ability is triggered by pressing fire and shield at the same time. This is the only way to take out enemy shields. The unique mechanic is how you juggle between shield and ammo energy because you won’t get far without that. It’s very simple: by firing the gun, you deplete ammo and increase shield energy, and when you use shield, you waste shield and restore ammo energy. You can never run out of energy because it is always shared between the two. Since you can hold shield down even when moving around, which activates a dash that causes damage to an enemy, it doesn’t get in the way of shooting. What you need to watch out for is your health bar. the graphics are good and the developer has potential but honestly the combat kinda sucks. graphics and amazing 10/10 pixel art make up for it tho

Although I have problems using a controller, Titanium Hound is a really great game! I enjoy the music and the artstyle very much. The voice acting is phenomenal and it means i don't have to read it myself 11/10

great atmosphere, great ideas, want to love it so bad, but the battle system is so convoluted and over complicated and confusing, i finally made it to the end of the first mission, only to have to run down a road over a minute to catch up to several cars that took me a few times to figure out i had to jump and shoot some kinda stun bomb at them to safely attack then i finaly make it to this truck im supposed to stop within a very limited amount of time and nothing i did worked and they give you no cluse i crafted som little bombs but none of the buttons would select them or fire them anymore and i ran out of time, and then they expect me to take another minute and a half just to catch up to the several cars again? so infuriating when im a cyberpunk junkie who absolutly wants to totally love the game, if it gets an update or patch, maybe i'l try again, so sad!!!!
