Blood Alloy: Reborn

Beautiful art and animations, good music, good gameplay premise, but core gameplay feels incomplete and there is very little content. I only played for about an hour, over three sessions with long periods inbetween, but on the third go understood the controls well enough to find problems that made me want to stop playing. I tested most of the issues in the list below, but I might have misunderstood some of the gameplay mechanics, so please keep that in mind. The controls are difficult, and almost work against you. Bugs make it almost unplayable. A lot of thought went into some gameplay mechanics, and it shows because they are very detailed; a mid-air dash will angle itself up to avoid hitting a ramp, travelling parallel to whatever surface is far beneath you. The missile attack is quite "beautiful", as the Equipment menu describes them. There's a gif creator too, which is really cool. Specific issues: Key rebinding (through the Unity dialogue box) doesn't have any effect. Thankfully jump and dash have multiple keys so you can pick the ones you like (Q/E/F for dodge-dash, W/Space for jump). As far as I am concerned, you play this sort of game to feel like a super-agile death-dealing ninja. I felt like a fumble-fingered fool.

This is the classic game that because of lack of quality tries to challenge the player with ♥♥♥♥♥♥ controls. The difficulty to the game lies into getting used to the awful control system they've purposely put up to be psychotic and loose. Not recommened even for less than a buck. No need to trust me, just check other reviews. Don't buy it if you want to feel like smashing the keyboard and the mouse on the closest wall
