Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell Blacklist

Game is good. Went to play the game again for the first time since it released and I forgot my password to ubisoft connect because why on earth do I need to log into something I havent touched in literally 13 years just to play a game, tried my three usual passwords + number combos and account got suspended from wrong PW input. Eventually just did the password reset through email and even though i reset my password using MY EMAIL, my account stays suspended and it won't let me play the game because i can't log into ubisoft connect. love buying things i cant get access to! so fun! Edit: Finally got access to my account and logged in. Now when i hit launch on steam, and log in through ubisoft connect, it launces ubisoft connect, then closes but never launches the game no matter how many times i hit play on steam. Wonderful experience! Thanks Ubisoft!

Gameplay: Masterpiece. Story/Cutescenes/Writing: Meh, Conviction set the bar too high. Sam's voice: Hell no.

This game is pretty good. It's not always a great stealth game, and it eschews the slow, methodical gameplay of the older games, but it's a pretty good time. I played the heck out of this game in college, trying to figure out how to clear out enemies (and evade them) as quickly and silently as possible. Mastering the game on the highest difficulty felt like a crowning achievement. It's a shame this is the last real Splinter Cell game we've got. The narrative is a bit dull. It's definitely a Ubisoft game, for better or for worse. Characters like Charlie are really annoying. But you're not really playing this game for the plot. Co-op campaign is great - one of the few games that I sought the co-op modes in. Multiplayer was a lot of fun, too. RIP Spies v. Mercs.

Splinter Cell Blacklist is the first Game that I have 100% that I would not recommend. Let me be clear, I had a TON of fun with this game. It has a lot to offer. That being said, I firmly believe that the bad outweighs the good. Gameplay: The gameplay of Splinter Cell Blacklist is probably the frustrating highlight of the experience. When you play this game as a stealth game, you get a really fun action packed game. The use of shadows for hiding, nonlethal takedowns, various distraction gadgets, and various gadgets that give you a different POV really sell you as this special operative. When you play the lethal or nonlethal stealth play styles (Ghost and Panther) this game excels. When you are forced to play the Assault playstyle, things fall apart. The combat is passable but it is clearly not intended to be loud which is frustrating because there are achievements based on playing with this playstyle and I had alot less fun when I did play with this play style.
