✦ AI summary

Players appreciate the game's effective atmosphere and tension-building mechanics, particularly the slower-paced combat and jump scares that keep you engaged. However, many criticize the poor technical execution, including buggy hitboxes, unclear enemy positioning, unfinished story elements like a missing antagonist child, hard-to-read text on documents, and overall optimization issues that undermine what could have been a more polished horror experience.

DON'T GO INTO THE CORN! The game does well to keep you on edge, paired with the slower-paced musket combat, you are always making sure you are reloaded before checking corners for the next jump scare. An entertaining short story that leaves you wanting more.

Playthrough here: https://youtu.be/2TaUQoJQ6Rg Let me start by saying this is not a good game, but I did enjoy it for how bad it was the hitboxes are strange and some of the positioning of the ghost people is pretty well done. There's a mystery child that's supposed to be tormenting people, but seems to be MIA from the entire game. Objects blend in with the environment and there's very little variability with the enemies sound effects are poorly implemented as well with some creepy sound effects this game could have been immensely better. I wish the creator would have put the text on the notes/documents on the side with the description of the items as well as the tiny cursive can be a bit of a pain to read. The game is pretty poorly optimized possibly because of how many assets the game is loaded with there's a ton of tall grass and then in the middle of the game there's a billion cows an unreasonable unrealistic amount of cows for some reason. The game is really easy to 100% and I did enjoy the brief appearances of the rail man, the miner man, the musket man, and possibly even saber man.

I don't like leaving negative ratings for some indie games. Generally this was alright but it lacked a few things, felt like they ran out of budget? Was it worth the 3.30 i got in the sale...not really....you can finish the game in 45 minutes which is probably the same length as a horror game. A few things i noted along the way * The musket gun wasn't really needed except to carry the lantern on, players can still take out hte soliders with the sworrd alone and still be fine. * Insdie the house near the start was too dark, couldnt see where to go, no lighting, I found the way downstairs luckily.. * Why couldn't you pickup items while still holdinng sword, musekt? You had to put the sword and musket away to pickup items or notes, i guess which is fine but i would have preferred still holding hhe sword and picking up notes * The writing on the notes? Can't read it, too small and cursive, although the text to the right gives a shorsummary of what it says which was nice * The end? i didnt like it.... 2 options, you walk upt he hill to the totem and die and get a 1-2 second end or you walk to the big field and are surrounded by endless spawning enemies...i thought I had to …
