About NoRail

Step aboard a space train looping a dead sun in the EXO 15 System. Stop at abandoned waystations for supplies to build the perfect loadout. Fail to reach the front in time, and a great being will send you back to the beginning—loop after loop. You’ll step into the role of the sole human operator on the train, tasked with caring for a shipment of Robotic Assisted Technology Servants (RATS). But whatever destroyed this solar system is spreading through them—and through the train itself. As the RATS turn hostile and the cars warp beyond recognition, you’ll have to fight, adapt, and uncover the truth behind the cataclysm that left EXO-15 in ruin.
Each run will take you closer to the front- and whatever might be there.Developed at the University of Utah

Game seems fun, but extremely lackluster. Gunplay is "decent", but the sounds, the atmosphere, and the voice acting all need HEAVY overhauls. Seems like it was made as a project or proof of concept, as far as that goes, it's well done. Only thing I'd say the game needs is invisible walls, I was easily able to jump onto the railing, then over the barrier in the first "station" section. First impressions: Game simply just needs better performance. Attached specs were barely achieving 32 consistently. The game is...silent? except for footsteps and some EXTREMELY LOUD random noises that would play during the audio logs that nearly blew my eardrums out. Another annoyance: enemies are damn near silent if you're also moving, because their footsteps appear to play on the same track as yours do. (this is less of an issue due to the absolutely massive health pool)

The game could have turned out well if the developer had put more effort into it. It has absurdly funny animations, cheap voice acting, and extremely limited gameplay that mostly consists of surviving against mobs for 60 seconds. There seem to be no more than three enemy types, only two weapons, and around 10 to 20 skills to choose from after each level. With a massive amount of additional work, this could eventually be called a game, but definitely not in its current state.

Audio Bugs, Enemy AI very basic, feels like a premade game template, sound effects enough to drive you mad. 3/10

Good thing this game was free. It sucks! Got stuck in a room with a bunch of enemies and the rifle did hardly any damage. Got squashed. Rating: 1/10
