The year is 1950, and you’ve been loaned £100,000 to become the ultimate Transport Tycoon. With only 100 years to accomplish your business goals, you must build your transportation empire using trains, ships, trucks, planes, and helicopters. As your operation grows, you can leverage technological advances to move more passengers and cargo, while you fend off rivals. Created by Chris Sawyer in 1995, Transport Tycoon Deluxe expanded on the popular Transport Tycoon with new landscapes, weather, vehicles and scenarios on an updated timeline. Matched against a batch of ruthless rivals, you’ll have to act quickly to monopolize the key routes that rake in the most cash. Build roads, rails, stations, airports, docks, and more to develop the most efficient and profitable transit system to grow your business and become a true Tycoon. Choose from one of four vast game worlds made up of numerous small towns and raw material resources. Your network of transport services must connect these areas and turn your transit system into a thriving business, while the game randomly generates a limitless number of scenarios that impact your enterprise. You can also create your own game scenarios using the world editor.You’ll use your routes to move passengers, mail, and goods to their most lucrative destination. As the years roll by you’ll have the chance to buy more advanced vehicles and vessels if you can afford them. You’ll deal with town councils that express varying attitudes to your projects, and cope with disasters such as mine collapses and equipment malfunctions. You can even take over other companies and fund industries, which will bring increased profits for your transportation network.

First of all. F**k Atari. Seriously wanting money for a version of the game that runs ON A EMULATOR. Is missing ALOT OF FEATURES compared. Has ALOT of bugs that were long long fixed in openTTD. AND ATARI has the F****ing AUDACITY TO TAKE DOWN OPENTTD FROM STEAM AND RELEASE THIS SLOP INSTEAD? To add to it the emulator does not even work properly. It tends to mess up A LOT. The game is easily exploitable. Just total corporate slop rerelease. This game is nothing but slop and theres NO reason to buy it over openttd. You cant even have a 16:9 aspect ratio. You are LOCKED to LOW resolution of square aspect ratio. I think its 5:4. [b] FOR THOSE WHO WANT TO PLAY OPEN TTD. [/b] JUST [u] download it off www.openttd.org [/u] Atari should take this s**t down and make openttd free and downloadable on steam again bro. This is SO GREEDY. THE CORPORATE GREED is CRAZY. You can argue about the pricetag all you want for a game of this vintage, but I think it is great that there now is a legitimate way to get the original datafiles to use with OpenTTD if you lost your CD or floppydiscs many years ago, as well as a good enough emulator for playing the original game as it was left if you wish. Kudos for working together with the OpenTTD team to make importing the graphics packs even simpler, hope this works for the music too. A tremendous amount of effort has been put into improving an upgrading the base game for 20 odd years by the OpenTTD developers, and it is much better that you guys work together about this to keep the trains, planes, and trucks moving cargo. Remember: OpenTTD is still available from their website at any time if you want to continue playing the opensource version like always.3 found this helpful
[h1]Score - 8/10 (Recommended)[/h1] [i]Transport Tycoon Deluxe[/i] suffers from many curious idiosyncrasies, pathing issues and a ridiculous amount of micromanagement, especially in the late-game, but its simplicity, cute SVGA pixelart and jazzy soundtrack by John Broomhall are what made it such a hit back in the 90s and still an addictive and worthwhile game to play today. One of the best relaxing video games ever. Played it in 1990s and I'm glad I can play it now. OpenTDD doesn't have the vibe this game has.1 found this helpful
