About Treats Please!

This is a free game in which you must keep a hungry pet happy by clicking on tasty treats.

This is a simple, low-stakes puzzle game with retro styling. During the game, random items appear in a 3x3 grid, and the player must click the best items in order to keep the pet's hunger level from reaching maximum and ending the game.

Sometimes, it is necessary to choose unwanted items on purpose in order to make room for new, good items, and learning when to take those losses at the right times is important to staying in the game longer. If you end up with all bad options, then clicking the "SCRATCH" button will scratch the board clear and reveal new options. The goal of the game is to keep the hunger bar from reaching maximum for as long as possible.

Free Game. Very simple, but also fun. Hot cat action.

"Treats Please!" is certainly one of the dumbest games on Steam, yet got a few positive participation trophy reviews for no reason other than there's a picture of a cat. Seriously. And the picture of the cat is the best part about this. It isn't even a particularly good picture of a cat. What do you do in the game? All you do here is click on food that you think cats will like and avoid clicking on food cats won't like. That's really it. A 3x3 grid of pointlessness. So this looks like an old 1990's Adobe Flash game that you might play in a web browser, and the problem there is obviously Steam wasn't intended to try compete with Chrome and Firefox. If it can be done in a web browser, it's not even close to a cutting edge PC gaming experience. That's a problem. The game is really simple and unambitious in terms of implementation, more of a tech demo or one of those cases where an amateur developer spends $100 to publish something on Steam Direct to see if it's possible. Yes, obviously it's possible. A proof of concept, tech demo, or something that's less than a little blip on the radar isn't offering anything truly valuable to gamers. The game features really lacklustre…

This was a simplistic time waster. It runs well and the cat is cute- I recommend if you're wanting to play an idler with some actual gameplay elements.

Almost recommended. This can be so much more. It's works as designed and has the cute factor going for it. However, this is more of a mini-game prototype and needs more layers such as combos and levels. Also, I couldn't get the settings and other menu options to appear, had to close game from my taskbar. It's neat for a few minutes, but can be skipped.
