Trick Or Beat

I already own the physical version of the Trick or Beat card game, and that one is beautifully designed on its own. This digital version? It straight-up outclasses it. I highly suggest giving it a try. But beware: It could be addictive. There are two small issues that i had with the physical card game: 1. It is sometimes hard to figure out what is really going on, especially if lots of units are deployed. You need to look out for all the different abilities and their combinations and impact on the game. Most abilities are also tied to conditions that first have to be met. It is fun, if you know all the different cards, but hard at first. 2. You need to calculate in every turn how much attack strength you or your oponent has and the same again for defense. This game perfectly solves these two issues for me while maintaining the complexity, fun and enjoyment of the card game. You always have a good overall view of the battlefield. Abilities that you can activate are marked with a satisfying protruding glint and the game does calculate everything for you. Every attack, every defense is shown clearly arranged. Really exciting card game to play. It combines tactical and strategic elements with a little bit of luck, and is overall very balanced. Once you have figured out the basic game mechanics and know the card pool your skill quickly improves. Apart from that all the funny images and texts add a lot of fun to the game. Concerning this digital version (there is also a physical version which I highly recommend), the graphics, effects and also the control make it really exciting to play. I'm convinced the game has a lot of potential so just give it a try ;)
