About Trinity Trigger

Step into the world of Trinity Trigger, an all-new action role-playing game combining the look and feel of iconic RPGs of the ‘90s with a modern emphasis on fast-paced, customizable combat. As Cyan, a young man burdened by the gods with the mantle of Warrior of Chaos and an inevitable clash against the Warrior of Order, players will set out on a grand adventure to defy fate and save Trinitia. Cyan and his companions Elise and Zantis are accompanied by strange creatures known as Triggers that can transform into eight types of weapons, and players can switch freely between the three characters to implement a solo combat strategy, or team up with up to two friends for local co-op.

Together, they will write a new destiny.

Master the Weapons of the Gods

Solve puzzles and defeat enemies alone or with friends in local co-op as you traverse the dungeons of each Arma, towers made from the fallen weapons of the gods.

Seek Out Trinitia’s Mysteries

Reveal hidden passages by exploring every last bit of Trinitia’s diverse biomes. Chat with townsfolk for clues to uncover the heavily guarded secrets held in these forests, deserts, snowfields, and more.

Change the Tide of Battle

Make expert use of the Weapon Wheel in battle to change between eight weapon types on the fly. Every enemy has a weakness—finding and exploiting it is the key to victory.

A Generational Role-Playing Epic

Trinity Trigger was inspired by the iconic RPGs of yesteryear, but its accessible and rewarding gameplay incorporates modern flourishes to make it an exciting new adventure for players of all ages.

This game is delicious, I grow up playing J-RPG, but in my adulthood I had to stop. I became an truck driver and lost my private time, I work around 10-15 hours a day, too many days sleeping on the tin can. I can't start games like White Knight Chronicles nowadays, where you burn 1000's hours, this is like Final Fantasy XV Pocket Edition, just the basics where you can enjoy the old school element's of an good RPG, and pause and continue next week or next month when you have the time to, and don't feel the burnout of not progressing in the game, the sidequest, or the bazillion secrets in game. Bought the game on sale, and will buy the PS5 edition for collection purposes. Thank you devs for this experience. Run it, on my potato server PC. Very recommended.

I had high hopes for this game as I'm a huge fan of Secret of Mana and old school RPGs. The story is not very intriguing. But at least the game is somewhat short roughly 23hrs. The combat is simple, but the devs added WAY too much to it with all the different weapon types and augmentation per weapon. Weapon set up demands too much of your time for the simplicity of the combat system. It makes the larger battles frustrating, especially the final boss as the difficulty is just ramped up. ( I gave up after dying once, it is not worth trying to finish..) Healing is limited to items and there is a limit on individual items that can be carried. The companion character AI is not great, I had to constantly be healing them, and would run through the items quickly. I don't recommend this game, unless it is on a deep discount.

Cool concept, but poor execution. AI companions insist on getting themselves killed by anything and everything. Melee weapons feel bad because you will constantly get hit if you aren't dodging between attacks. This makes the 3 attack combo system not make sense. There are caps to healing items which makes it so you can't open chests with any items you are fully stocked on. You can equip all AI players with Life stealing attacks to somewhat keep them alive, but I would only recommend playing with friends to try to stay alive. The limited healing items makes it unenjoyable.

Magical Adventure awaits... + chill adventure and dungeon diving (all fun until...) + easy controls + Artwork good (reminds me of FF early day somehow) + sprites are chibilike + skillsystem pretty much ok + easy to understand story + combat relaxing + interesting conversations + no (heal-)magic involved, which makes some encounters harder + pretty much reliable on your setup + interesting story bits (and even post game stuff) + pretty nice conversations + the drug addicts lol + battle was fun + dungeons were big + much to fight + pretty much underrated JRPG +/- can be hard with the limited supplies +/- Luckily your AI Companion get much more less trap dmg - as a former Nintendo DS port, it sure looks outdated - too much useless gem socket in every weapon + armor system - some missing QoL - the Localisation, seriously? 50% wrong. 30% plain western ♥♥♥♥. 20% ok - AI sometimes pretty smart, but mostly pretty dumb. Especially in important boss fights with much movement and traps - recycled enemies Conclusion: I cant understand, why this game is so underrated. It was pretty fun. well, the companion AI is straight ok. But fail mostly. Graphic ok. The skill system was nice and…
