About True North

Current Features:

  • 10+ unique levels, including a fun campaign and some competitive minigames.
  • Global learderboards for every minigame.

  • A community discord server where you can contact developers, show off your high scores, and give feedback.

Navigate
Terrain and forests, with animals lurking in the darkness.

Survive
Against the elements, including wildlife and weather.

Not for me. The animations are extremely poor.

Based on what I have played so far. True North is an action-survival shooter. What I mean by "action-survival" is with the ability to keep an eye on your temperature, quite uncommon I see in any other survival games though not the first. Gunfights are simplistic, hell you can expect some nice change of pace by playing this game. There is story and minigames, which I find minigames will keep this game going. Don't confuse this with a triple A shooter however because there's not really unique about this game, other than the the fact that you're always surviving in the snowy area and have to maintain your temperature. You would maintain your temperature by placing campfires down, going inside places or going to a larger campfire usually surrounding the bandits. Nothing too crazy. Animals and bandits both drop crates for loot, I do think you (the developer) need to work on the models for them. As this is early access and with the most simplistic gameplay mechanics, I can fully understand that this might be one of your first games. A friend of mine gave this game to me as a christmas and I think I have enjoyed it regardless. With a fair price that doesn't ask so much, I do think you …

Ok, this game has an amazing story line I can't even believe that this game was made by only one guy, truly breathtaking! Plus it has a bunch of minigames that are great, I personally have gotten 1001 kills in the bandit rush and I've got to say it was a lot of fun playing it. Personally I liked the minigames more than the story but it's great that it has different options like that that can keep the game interesting and fun like parkour and practicing your spray. Great game 10/10.

i must say, this is a game that i think has the potential to become something great. Obviously, this isn't the greatest game i have ever played, but everything else is pretty good. The price is a tiny bit high for the current state of the game but i'm assuming that money is getting put to good use, the art style is unique (i could be wrong) and gives me some Shelter 2 vibes, and the game's story has surprisingly got me hooked. Another i like about the game is the music, it isn't that often for me to see other games playing that kind of chill music. In my opinion, I think that this is definitely a game that you should try out.
