Truth Universally Acknowledged - Seasilk Heart

Even though I clicked on "Yes", I wouldn't actually recommend playing the game in its current state. Hear me out. Seasilk Heart is a GORGEOUS game, and as an art piece, it's fantastic. The music is adorable, very relaxing and sweet. The characters are beautiful (Mel is my favorite) and you can see just how much effort went into every little aspect of the artwork, from the clothing, to the backgrounds, homes, settings... designing an enviroment and culture underwater, even if just a little piece of it, can be very challenging. I would know! I have my own merfolk story, and the main reason I went after this game so quickly was because of that! So happy to see merfolk titles being made after so long just silently wishing. But that being said... the gameplay is very lacking and the dialogue system doesn't make much sense. It'd be more intuitive to react to actual dialogue instead of *You're talking about [subject]*. It makes it feel more like a homework assignment or a memory game instead of two characters talking. New release of the dating sim, Truth Universally Acknowledged, now the character dives into the depths with their new mermaid body (yes, that's how magical this universe is). Thi sone adds a bit of gameplay to the ChaseFox formula, requiring us to unlock each branch of the story by improving our relationship with the characters through dialogue, collecting items, and giving flowers. At first, I found it a bit tedious, but after figuring it out and seeing that there were upgrades, it picked up pace. As always, I recommend it. It has enormous artistic value, although it would be a shame not to start with the first entry in the TUA series.

Art style is amazing and the main selling point. I do wish the controls were better since I did not enjoy the clicking to move. Also I wish that there was actual dialogue for different subjects to talk about, even if they are repetitive. I'd prefer that over the mentioning of the topic only. I started losing track by the fifth "you guys are talking about food" etc. But if it was repetitive dialogue at least I could remember the answers more intuitively. I will play more and see how it goes ^^

This game was so awesome! I genuinly love it I chose Emily for my first play through and I love her character so much, to the point I want her so bad but I can understand where she is coming from. She is a straight bullet getting that bag. There are some points I think would be good to point out, there were some typos In emily's story, but only like 1 or 2 and some of her dialogue confused me (also like 1 or 2) The main protagonist is also a little hard to see at times (mainly when you swim around), so having an outline of the character would be so helpful since all the characters are so bright and colourful. But OTHER THEN THAT, It's such a cute cozy game to play and I really enjoyed playing it and getting to know Emily, I really want to know how the heck we even got to this place and somehow turned into a mermaid, now that would be a crazy part 2. I WOULD DEFINITLY RECCOMEND THIS GAME TO OTHERS <33
