Twin Ruin

Had fun with this. Main draws for me are the polarity switching mechanic from Ikaruga (Deal more damage to enemies of opposite colour, absorb bullets of same colour, can switch between the two colours at anytime), and the shrinking arena mixed with hordes of enemies requiring you to quickly and skilfully move to the center/end of the levels. Pretty satisfying to rush through levels. Has a solid base as is, but would've liked if there was more content, got through it all fairly quickly.

It's OK

This is excellently made; the graphics are solid, it runs smoothly, and the core mechanics of the game so well implemented and engaging. I would agree with the majority of reviews, that it's light on on content, but that's reflected in the price, so I don't see it as a major point to hold against the game; Twin Ruin's gameplay is so sound that I simply want more of it.

I've been looking for a simple yet challenging twin-stick shooter for a while now, and this one kind of hits the spot. It feels a bit Risk of Rain-ey mixed with Alienation, but still manages to have its own unique play-style by having you focus on the colours of the bullets. It's a short play, managed to (basically) 100% it in 8h, but that's not really a downside. Just a short, fun, interesting and challenging action-packed twin-shooter. Well done from a solo dev! PS: please please fix the bug for not getting the stage 4 achievement. As a completionist it really itches me that I'm on stuck on 95% achievements for this game, even though I definitely finished stage 4 multiple times but can't get steam to tick it off. EDIT: achievement is fixed now, thanks!
