Undead Quest is a VR rogue-lite wave shooter where your main weapons are a bat and a magic ball. Hit, dodge, and slash your way through thousands of fun-filled undead foes, crafting your unique skillset in every gaming session to reach the end and uncover the mystery of Undead.
STORY
Step into an epic journey as the student at a magical university and a rising star in the enchanted cricket league. One day, after celebrating your semi-final victory, you wake up in the forest and find yourself facing waves of quirky undead. Where did they come from? Who brought them into your world? You should figure out what’s going on.
HIT, DODGE, SLASH, REPEAT
Your primary weapons are a bat and a magic ball. Master your skills and kill the undead from a distance or use the environment to make a combo kill and don't forget to dodge or fend off ranged attacks
UPGRADE AND BUILD ULTIMATE SKILLSET
Collect the points and choose from dozens of available upgrades - Augment your ball with devastating powers, or perhaps Lay deadly traps or set explosive mines. Or maybe you're a wizard at heart? Unleash the full potential of your magical abilities with awe-inspiring gestures! Summon meteor showers, icy comets, and furious whirlwinds to obliterate your undead foes in spectacular fashion.

Uncover the mystery of the undead by completing the story mode or see how long you can survive in survival mode. The game sessions are roguelite-inspired, so each playthrough and skill set you create will be unique.

You use a cricket bat and a magic ball and proceed to break the undead as you batter up. You get different upgrades as you collect xp & there are some permanent upgrades as well. You can also slash them with your cricket bat / sword. There are some spells & potions as well that you can use. Game is running on the Unreal Engine. On my RTX 3080, I was getting some dropped frames, but nothing severe. The action is all 180 degrees in front of you. You can play seated or standing, but you may want to play standing as the batting action may be best if you're standing like you would in a batter's stance. I must admit that after an hour of playing this game, I'm not quite sure on how I feel about this game. Maybe because I played seated, I just didn't get into the zone while playing this game. Undead Quest is a paid VR game that is an rogue-like wave shooter that uses a cricket bat and magic ball. It worked on my Index system, looked ok, played ok, sounded ok. Was fun to play and challenging. Maybe buy this game, if you like quirky wave shooters. I got a free key for this from the Steam Curator program.
