About Under A New Sun

The plan was simple - the ship would wake you from your cryocapsule before you arrived at a potential new home. A planet for humanity to start a new life on. But when you awaken, you are already on the ground amongst the wreckage of your ship with no one else in sight. Stranded and surrounded only by debris, you start your journey under an unfamiliar sky.The planet has a breathable atmosphere, which is a good start. Surprisingly, the area is already filled with a lush flora and fauna — some of which seem familiar, others completely alien. A few of the old seedlings from Earth must have survived the crash somehow, building a new kind of ecosystem.What happened to the ship? How long have you been frozen in cryo since your arrival? You don't have the answers, but...for now, you have more pressing concerns. You must find a way to survive and make this foreign planet your new home!

i understand that the game is still under development but boy does it need some fixing to be at least enjoyable if not playable. my main issue is the gawd damn inventory space. if your gonna play in its current state, bring a friend or a whole group. heck a whole ship crew would be nice just to be pure inventory space. if your inventory is full you cant craft at all. even if you have the exact amount to craft said item to take up that slot, you need an empty slot. cooking is another problem, you have to throw food on the fire and hope it stays on there to cook with a max of 3-4 items there's other issues but these are my personal criticism. other than that i do see some potential.

I really like where this game is headed. the building, survival aspects and exploration its very immersive. definitely worth getting.

At the beginning, the gameplay feels quite similar to Stranded Deep, which is a big plus for me. Visually, it looks better than Stranded Deep in some areas and worse in others. However, the shaders put a very heavy load on my few-years-old GPU, which is definitely a negative for me. ## Compared to Stranded Deep ### PROS – Where Under A New Sun is better - **Alien world:** The setting is an alien world that initially looks quite similar to Earth, which gives it more unusual elements. Later, for example, you encounter floating pieces of land, alien creatures and meteor showers. - **More interesting story:** I find the story more interesting, although Stranded Deep’s premise is more believable. - **Better character progression:** Your stats improve by actually using the related abilities, and the game gives you feedback about the improvements. For example, running can increase your stamina. - **More advanced crafting later on:** As you progress, you can create more technologically advanced equipment. - **Crafting through discovery:** You do not see every crafting possibility from the beginning. For example, until you find a palm, you do not see what can be crafted from rope. I lik…
