About Under A New Sun
The plan was simple - the ship would wake you from your cryocapsule before you arrived at a potential new home. A planet for humanity to start a new life on. But when you awaken, you are already on the ground amongst the wreckage of your ship with no one else in sight. Stranded and surrounded only by debris, you start your journey under an unfamiliar sky.The planet has a breathable atmosphere, which is a good start. Surprisingly, the area is already filled with a lush flora and fauna — some of which seem familiar, others completely alien. A few of the old seedlings from Earth must have survived the crash somehow, building a new kind of ecosystem. What happened to the ship? How long have you been frozen in cryo since your arrival? You don't have the answers, but...for now, you have more pressing concerns. You must find a way to survive and make this foreign planet your new home!Survive
Face hunger, thirst, weather, and hostile fauna while the days pass by. Treat your wounds and keep your eyes open, some old machines still roam the landscape. The scorching sun above is unforgiving.
Explore
Discover various islands, underwater locations, old wrecks, and more. Find out what happened to your crew, where you are and what went so horribly wrong with your ship.
Craft and build
Harvest the resources of your new surroundings, refine materials and craft new tools. Find your way to the top of the food chain and build yourself a new home!
Sail the sea
Adjust the sails and follow the wind! Just like our ancestors sailed over the seas of our old home to discover new land.
Gather electricity
Scavenge wrecks and whats left of your old ship. Harness the power of nature and generate electricity to power advanced technology's.
Interact with the world
Interact with several different types of workstations in a unique and immersive way to refine resources and take your next step forward. Instead of navigating endless menus, you physically interact in-game with your items.
For example: • Make cloth on a loom • Split wood into planks • Process raw hides into usable leather • Smelt ore and forge it into tools • Potter and fire clay into usable objects ...and more!
Team up with your friends
Challenge the world alone or explore, build, and survive with up to three friends by your side (4 in total).

I've really enjoyed playing this game, I've spent many hours in it and there's still quite a lot to do. Gathering resources can be a bit tedious, mostly Iron, it's becoming less fun to play because there's not a lot. The nodes don't grow back so you only get 3 to 4 pieces per cave, which doesn't make sense considering how much space there is in the caves, you could easily put more in there. It would be better if the bigger nodes grew back so you wouldn't have to spend hours looking. Having a similar system to the Clay, it comes back every 2/3 days, would be so much better. I kinda find it hard to tell the difference between what's a regular rock and an iron one too haha.1 found this helpful
I love the game but there are some very annoying things that I am surly not the only one would like changed. the rope come on guys you need it for everything and its sparce and annyoing trying to get the simple task done either make it so you can get it from two resources or lesson the need for it. away to mark what islands you have been to also your compass reading latitude and longitude in numbers. would love to be able to adjust the length of day with the option to sleep when you want . I love the exploring, crafting , swimming ,sailing, to be fair I have only seen the boar , the crabs ,fish and birds but have not been to all islands yet hoping there will be more food sources. If you enjoy crafting and building at your own pace as well as exploring this is the game game for you and I love it so much I have been building on the large island and have not seen the other 15 yet .1 found this helpful
i understand that the game is still under development but boy does it need some fixing to be at least enjoyable if not playable. my main issue is the gawd damn inventory space. if your gonna play in its current state, bring a friend or a whole group. heck a whole ship crew would be nice just to be pure inventory space. if your inventory is full you cant craft at all. even if you have the exact amount to craft said item to take up that slot, you need an empty slot. cooking is another problem, you have to throw food on the fire and hope it stays on there to cook with a max of 3-4 items there's other issues but these are my personal criticism. other than that i do see some potential.
yet another poorly made survival game where the game has too many issues to list
