About UnderEarth

40 miles under the Earth's surface, a hazardous research and refinery facility has faulted. Attempts to raise communication with the installment have failed. The status of all fifteen workers stationed within the facility is unknown. Valvorta Industries, the controversial energy corporation responsible for the site, must maintain discretion. In response, Valvorta's BoD has elected to dispatch an engineering specialist to assess the situation. The mission is simple: recover information, restore output from the facility and rescue the workers trapped under earth.

Traversal through the facility will not be easy. The malfunctioning systems have made the descent near impossible. The high temperatures and the lack of breathable oxygen require the use of a specialized suit. You'll need a sharp eye to find any tools, lifts, documentation, and devices scattered across the facility, and a bright mind to put them to use. Extra attention must be paid to maintaining your suit's battery and air levels if you wish to survive. To make your mission easier, your suit provides a gauge on your current status, a log of any documents you find scattered about, magnetic boot attachments function for situational vertical and upside-down movement, and an instant connection to all terminals requiring rudimentary programming skills.

Find whatever information you can and piece together the events leading to the loss in communications. After that, it will be up to you to decide what needs to be done.

I enjoy this game a lot actually. Have yet to beat the game but it offers a challange with having to figure out the controls yourself which is easy for any true PC gamer. The atmosphere of the game is very unnerving and unsettling. If you do not like older games I would not recommend it to you since it is much like an old style game with new graphics. I love the puzzles and how far the saves are spread apart. When you hit a save point you feel like you achieved something.

I am 32 years old. My ex-wife and I have a daughter together, and we adopted our son together. Both are now 4 years old. When we were going through our separation, I felt lost and unhappy. I was self-destructive. One day, I was so angry with everything spiraling out of control that I punched a concrete wall in a moment of overwhelming emotion. This resulted in breaking my fifth metacarpal in my right hand—the hand I worked with, played games with, and used to carry my children to bed—the hand I desperately needed to ensure I could continue providing. Upon learning the severity of the self-inflicted damage, I became almost suicidal. Keep in mind that just a few months before this, I was the happiest man, with no history of depression or anxiety. I had never experienced anger outbursts, nor was I the type to break down and cry, but I was in a tough situation that truly prevented me from seeing the light on the other side. With nothing better to do, I looked for a game I could play WITH ONE HAND while recovering. Somehow, I stumbled upon this game and read some of the comments. I decided it was worth a try... I must admit I didn't beat the game, nor did I play as much as some of y…

Broken trash. Repeatedly refused to load into full screen and the proper resolution. The one time I get it to load into full screen (but still massively wrong resolution) it crashes and was resistant to closing it or even bringing the task manager up, despite the task manager being always on top. PLEASE AVOID.

UnderEarth is a 3D VR first person puzzle adventure game. Stuck in an underground facility, you must negotiate the 3D puzzles to progress through the game. While primarily a VR game, there's also a non-VR mode but this mode is deficient, fullscreen doesn't work properly. The visuals are garish and a bit hard on the eyes, little attention was given to light balance which means the game is exceedingly dark unless your eyes are being assaulted by overbright neon lights. Overall it's a fairly poor game that could have had potential if the developer had invested in better quality artistic talent, and managed to make Unreal engine work in full screen (which really isn't that hard). It's clear the developer here just wanted to push out a minimum viable product and hope for sales from VR enthusiasts, rather than making a game that could stand up on its own merits.
