Great game if you can get it on sale. Bit expensive for what it is. First 2/3 of the game is consistent but the last 3rd goes in a wird direction. Overall good game with jumpscares, worth playing :)
Absolute fantastic horror game. The jump scares and tension are on point. I got a little lost with where the story was going towards the end, but it pulled it all back and it was just brilliant. Loved this.
Game is absolutely terrifying. So many jump scares and the storyline is perfect. Gave me Stay Alive vibes and really enjoyed that movie when I was younger. 10/10 recommend!
This game was hot garbage from the start. It definitely doesn't have the quality of games released even 5 years ago. I didn't even bother finishing it. The story is convoluted, nothing makes sense, and its just Jump scare after jump scare. Sure a few are good and need for a horror game but that's entirely what this game relies on. The atmosphere is ♥♥♥♥, the controls and movement are ♥♥♥♥, and its a complete rip off of visage that also some how manages to rip off layers of fear, a bit of silent hill, outlast 1 and 2 by the end. I ended up watching a YouTube video for the ending cause I couldn't be bothered to sit through anymore of it. By the end of my first 45 minutes I was no longer scared and could accurately predict the jump scares. Here's a break down Start: House with ghosts turning off lights and a sanity meter and a safe room to put trinkets from each chapter..... if you've ever played visage its clear as day. Middle: some ♥♥♥♥ ass library and you need to crawl through the sewers to get there? Wtf? Why? Its not even remotely close to a library. Looks more like some kinky chapel and then we may as well add in a music stage cause the wife plays the piano so let's really …
Unmourned was a game that had me excited long before it was released, and thankfully... it actually lived up to the hype. From the first trailer, I had a feeling this one was going to be something special. It had a creepy atmosphere, an interesting premise, and honestly gave me Ramona vibes. Now, is it quite on the same level as Ramona? I don't think it quite reaches those heights, but that's a pretty high bar to clear. Even so, Unmourned is a fantastic horror game in its own right. You play as Jason, who moves into a new house only to find himself haunted by increasingly disturbing paranormal events. As things spiral out of control, you're forced to uncover the truth behind the disappearance of the home's previous owners. And let me tell you... it's a pretty dark story. The atmosphere is one of the game's biggest strengths. From the moment you step into the house, there's this constant feeling that something is watching you. Every hallway, every room, and every strange sound had me wondering what was waiting around the next corner. The sound design deserves a lot of credit as well. It does a fantastic job of building tension without relying solely on jumpscares. When the scar…
