Uptime: A Cloud Provider Sim

love spending all day in a data center dealing with servers and then coming home to clock into the second data center. normal people play games to escape work. i play games where i get to do my job but without the tickets. "hey wanna play something?" yeah give me a sec i gotta finish expanding this rack and figure out why my virtual cooling is cooked. this game is somehow less stressful than the real thing, mostly because nobody from networking is telling me it's "probably your side." 10/10 would work my second shift for free.

If you like technology or want to know how data gets to your online devices this is the game for you. Start in your garage to prove you can run a small data center providing cloud services and work you way into a data center. You have to make meaningful decisions of where to allocate your funds. Do you spend the extra money to add redundancy to your network or buy more hardware for your customers. Can you keep cramming customers into a small blade server or should you spend the extra money on a beefier server that has more power draw. This game is super addicting and the developer listens to the community feedback and is actively updating the game to fix bugs, add new features, and improve performance. Will be adding a translation system in an upcoming update as well for non native English speakers!

Pretty good game it's very chill, throw up some youtube on your other screen and just sit back an relax do remember to be tabbed into your game window else the games time won't progress :I

100% recommend this game if you want to play and learn about the Services and Hardware that goes into Data Center management. It is miles ahead of other Data Center Simulation games even in v0.1.19 early access. The developer is so incredibly responsive on Discord. I'm an IT engineer and can vouch for the enjoyment of racking up server equipment.
