Utawarerumono: Prelude to the Fallen

witness the slow descent of madness as a harem of lusty demonic furries start to assemble around the innocent and pure spirited main character, Hakuowlo. Due to no fault of his own he begins to fall prey to their seductions and evil trickery, desperately denying he has a thing for twin furry shotas. We; the readers have to watch helplessly as he gets overpowered in bed again and again by strong well toned muscled furry MILFs every night. Nothing is sacred and these harlots will ceaselessly work to drain him of his sanity, his willpower and his fluids. They will sweetly call him 'daddy, uncle and husband' but its all hollow gestures knowing the true brutality that lay behind their dull lifeless eyes. Theres also JRPG elements and NTR, good game 10/10.

Utawarerumono completely wrecks you. It is an unforgettable experience. AND it's fully voiced! First time you get to hear Aruru's noises you instany feel paternal towards her!... Being a hybrid visual novel and SRPG, it spends a lot of time with a likeable and engaging cast,, offering a variety of different combat styles and units to chose from. It might appear as a generic fantasy on surface level, but the game doesn't push its world-building, nor is it annoying about it, it has a distinct cultural texture that makes it stand out. And yeah there is a harem point too so pick your favourite! This is a genuine slow burn. The game follows episodic structure with events meshed in between actual plot, which at times felt very dragging, you might spend hours in vn segments before getting to a brief 10 minute fight that moves the plot. The fights are, to be quite honest, seemingly a formality that really makes it more of a VN rather than a strategy game. The maps are really lacking it, and even on Hard mode there is no challenge. But it doesn't force you to grind too much to speed thru most of the fights, and honestly, final strikes are cool. I highly recommend it, even with slow start, …

*No spoilers* This epilogue turned out to be a psychological horror. There aren't clear ages for characters and some elements in this game are... interesting. As my first JRPG battle simulator I was very pleased. There were 3 or 4 weird moments along the story that I was forced to ignore because I didn't jive with some of the typical Japanese pervy tropes, but the story was told well. The battle mechanics were pretty alright. My only gripe is that while I don't mind taking my time I do mind those long attack animations especially when I'm already in a lengthy battle. While I won't remember any of the named people or tribes in this game I too aspire to slam my keyboard and call it coherent. Solid 6 or 8/10 depending on how you decide to immerse yourself.

i would never recommend this to anyone. it lack the interactivity of a game, it lacks the graphics and pictures of a manga and it lacks the deep story and scene explanations of a novel. there are ZERO choices to be made so you could just watch it on you tube for free and get the full story with no deviations and the rare combat encounter is ok at best. so its not a "game" in any real way but how is the story? meh its ok but a manga would be better than the same 10 cardboard cutouts over and over and a novel would explain the action scenes better than a black screen and a few flashes of light. this thing claims to be a visual novel game and it fails on ALL THREE POINTS. save your money and watch a lets play because hitting forward and backward 5 seconds is more engagement than this thing deserves
