Solid game to burn many hours in. Fantastic cost to playtime ratio. I only played single player but did beat all hard missions, didn't get to try online since i couldn't find a match, so unsure how it plays. The game starts out grindy till you some unlock better gear, but after that its mayhem. Easy and normal mode are not enjoyable to play they are very slow paced, you are just waiting to enemies to spawn to reach your quota for each round. Sadly you do need to beat them if you want to 100% the game fyi. Hard mode is very enjoyable and you can normally beat the mission time by a significant amount, it's literally faster to beat two hard missions than to beat one easy and you earn more gold to boot. Game play great on a controller. Leaderboards would have been neat to compare run times. Secret strategy to beat every level, run in small circle.

I bought because I love 9th Dawn III and wanted to support the dev, and Vampire Survivors is a fun game in small doses. The game has terrible pc controls but is fine with a controller. It really needs key rebind option for dodge and click to move. Much better with controller. Aside from that I haven't played it much because I don't like WASD movement. It does work on the Steam Deck though which is a plus if that's where you want to play it.

Valkyrie Champions is a terrible game. You can't do much. The best early game gear is literally the level 1 gear that shoots behind you, if you level it up you cant kite enemies and they instantly kill you. Game design is literal trash. Sound design is trash. The stage system is trash. Pretty much one of worst games I've ever played. But... why am i recommending this garbage dump? Simple. The developers Valorware also make the insanely good 11/10 rpg 9th Dawn. I bought this game so the developers could have some money to develop the next 9th Dawn game. That's why I recommend buying this piece of trash. Just think of it as a one time patreon donation for the devs to make another 9th Dawn. These developers are one of the only ones that make real mobile rpg games through the 9th Dawn series. They deserve this $5 and much more for that. So yes I will happily throw money at their face. Also, if you're reading this, do yourself a favour and go get the latest 9th Dawn. You can even get it on your phone. If you like it, you can come back here and throw some money at the devs so hopefully they get some motivation to make the good stuff. If any devs are reading this, please make more …

How do you make a game that can't be paused? If you press pause, the game continues and you are dead in 5 microseconds. Incredible. I can't recommend it. It is the worst Survivors game I've played so far, it is even worse than Vampire Survivors, which I thought should be impossible. What is the point of upgrading your weapon if you are killed each time you turn back to use it against the horde?
