About Valnir Rok Survival RPG
Valnir Rok is an online sandbox survival roleplaying game inspired by Norse mythology. Players will awaken to find themselves on Valnir Island and must do whatever it takes to survive in a land of wild animals, mythical beasts, and violent men. As a hardened Viking warrior, butcher your enemies in bloody combat, build and improve village structures, and form a clan to expand your power and reputation. Battle against opposing clans, place bounties on hated enemies, and discover ruin artifacts to gain favor with the gods with great deeds and holy sacrifices. Might makes right in the Viking world of Valnir Rok.
Brandish swords and axes while taking on wild beasts and legendary monsters. Face other online players in combat to test skill and bravery or create a clan and conquer the island of Valnir.
Scavenge and combine resources to create unique crafting recipes. A plethora of craftables are waiting to be discovered. Players can craft everything from a complete arsenal of weapons to full thriving cities. The only limit is your imagination and the enemies that stand in your way.
Journey through the island of Valnir to discover living cities filled with NPC’s to help guide players on their journey. Explore crystal-lined caverns and witness the skeletons of giant beasts.
The actions you take will gain you favor with the three local gods of Valnir. Earn their favor and be greatly rewarded... or betray them and receive divine retribution.
Experience Viking lore as you complete quests written by award-winning author Giles Kristian or take the story into your own hands by creating your own quests for a completely customized experience.

I purchased Valnir Rok in October, 2017, shortly after it entered Early Access on Steam. The concept was appealing: a Viking-themed survival RPG with crafting, exploration, and multiplayer. Unfortunately, development appears to have stopped. The game remains in Early Access nearly nine years later, and based on public build history, the last update was March 8, 2021. Since then there have been no patches, announcements, or meaningful communication about the future of the game. As it stands today: 1. Still labeled Early Access 2. Last build released March 2021 3. No visible development activity for years 4. Extremely low player population The idea behind the game had real potential, but after owning it since 2017, it’s difficult to recommend purchasing it in its current state. Since this game launched, other Viking-themed survival games such as Valheim, ASKA and Tribes of Midgard have released and continued active development, offering a far more complete experience. If you are considering buying Valnir Rok, understand that you are purchasing a largely unfinished Early Access title that appears to have been abandoned by its developers.1 found this helpful
I was an alpha/beta tester for the game. And early on the game seemed like it could be good. But in its current state i wouldnt recommend buying it. the devs have abandoned the game completely years ago.1 found this helpful
Not atm. It wont even let me log inl idk wtf is going on. My internet is fine. but nothing happens when I enter my credentials it says "we expirienced some bull spit" There is no website, no customer support. like wtf. I havent had a PC in years so i'm out the loop if something went south.1 found this helpful
Does not work will not connect to server Steam refuses to refund!!!!!!
Stay Away From This Game! Its Online only, 1 or 2 servers might be up with 0 players. Last time i played and saw another player was 2020, i actually enjoyed it a bit then and seemed promising. The Devs Abandoned this game, if you join the official discord you'll see messages from the creator of the game, claiming at one point that they were moving the game to a new engine and would continue updates....that was over 5 years ago. no official updates on steam or with the community. I'm not sure why steam still allows this game to be live, its a scam at this point.
