Tentative positive review. There should ABSOLUTELY be an epilepsy warning, though. The lights flicker in the game quite regularly, and I was unable to find a way to turn it off because I find it annoying after a while. So if you're sensitive to that type of visual stimulus, please be careful if you decide to play this game. That said, it's not a bad game overall. It does progress a bit slowly, but that's because it's designed to be a semi-idle game. If you're wanting a lot of interactivity in a game, this is not the one for you. I personally wish they had kept with a similar graphic-style as the previous games this developer has made. To me it just looks a little weird, but it's not enough to warrant me disliking the game overall. Hopefully the developer is able to continue working on this game or is able to acquire enough skills to produce even better games down the road.2 found this helpful

i do like this game however its mostly based on the nostalgia and how much this game series means to younger me i also like some of the improvements over the last games like more skin tones, allowing same gender couples, and having a resort you can decorate but theres some issues too for one everything feels so incredibly expensive and the family barely makes enough money and, so far for me atleast, take forever to level up their careers. also not a fan of the kids just looking like small adults and some of the names are so strange. oh and placing furniture feels so painful for no reason so although i like this game (to an extent) and want to say not recommended, the nostalgia gives it some bonus points so i will recommend it for that i recommend virtual families 2 more instead of this one, especially if your not having nostalgia clouding your judgment <3
