I typically don't leave reviews but I play this game a lot and I've noticed a lot of Bad Reviews coming in. Not sure what is going on with everyone's computer's and launcher's but the game has worked flawlessly for me on my HP Envy x360. Granted its a few years old but it isn't something I'd call old tech. Recently got the Generations Expansion pack when it was on sale for $10, really improved the game play. My main gripe right now is the Price of the Expansions for such an old game. I feel like $10 should be the standard, $5 on sale. Especially considering I heard they're buggy and can cause crashing. I'd hate to just spend $20 bones on something I won't even be able to use properly. Well Anyways, The game really holds up in 2026. Hundreds of hours in and am still constantly learning new stuff and new ways to play the game and do things. Very intricate program that gives the player a lot of freedom to build their own simulated world. or something like that.1 found this helpful
So I have been playing The Sims franchise since the beginning and at my age I find this entry to be the most laid back and tremendously less cynical than The Sims 4. I'll admit to having played a lot of 4 and purchased a significant amount of dlc with the caveat it was on PS4 and with such poor optimization the amount of dlc made it unplayable, the only thing the Sims would do autonomously is drink water, I never really got over the burn from EA This entry has a lot of QoL features that and because of its age the modding scene is prolific. What really puts this game into a must have for me is the ease of play on my Xbox Ally X. This is my go to gaming platform right now and after tryin 4 and 2 Legacy Collection I was pessimistic that this game would be playable on a handheld pc but it is more than playable and while I cannot verify other handhelds I would imagine Steam Deck and other SteamOS systems are configured to take full advantage of the platform. Only thing I really am not a fan of is you will see the beginning of the DLC nickel and dime Era where you must shell out cash for ridiculous items still being sold for thi game that has not had meaningful DLC in almost thirteen y…
love this game helps me relax and get away from real world
