About VRMultigames

Play several diferent minigames designed for VR. This collection of minigames is designed specifically for VR from the start, and provides original games and experiments for people to try.

The 3 Starting Minigames Are

  • Drone Fight

A lightsword game with drones, inspired by both lightblade VR and space pirate trainer. You can deflect or destroy enemy projectiles mid air, and return fire with your pistol.
  • Last Stand

This time, the only thing you have is your bow, use it to survive as much time as possible, as enemies will come to you, if anyone gets near, you lose.
  • Goalkeeper Simulator

A goofy minigame where you are a goalkeeper and defend the goal with huge telescopic hands. There are machines that will launch balls to the goal, you lose when you let too many pass.

More minigames will be added over time, and player feedback will allways be heard for the new minigames. The new minigames will be free too.

Remember to have fun with it, and be careful, try not to punch a wall or a TV.

It works native for both Oculus Rift and HTC Vive.

"VRMultigames" is a pointless VR tech demo, a small collection of pointless VR minigames and a promise to deliver more... and that was a broken promise as the developers saw how badly this failed and walked away from it, leaving more unfinished pollution on Steam. What do you do in the game? There's a sports/goalkeeping minigame, a wave survival bow and arrow game, and a lightsaber game, so we can all hope Disney sues. Despite not being in Early Access, it's obvious this is an incomplete product. Developers have an obligation to deliver complete, not partially done products to gamers, that shouldn't be controversial. Whatever the excuses may be, it does no service to gamers for incomplete products polluting Steam like this. It makes it harder for gamers to find complete games, and it makes it harder for ethical developers who do the right thing to find their audience. Even though the game looks pretty bad (and decent visuals are a minimum requirement for any game), we can be fairly sure this is not an asset flip. This is because the game assets look so bad, no self respecting asset creator would publish them. That's a fail. There's also the old adage that those who lack t…

As a free game, there's no reason not to try it out, but this really shows its age. Collisions are unpredictable, AI is strange (and doesn't work well in smallish spaces), and controls show the lack of refinement of early VR games. Drone Fight Sorta fun, but the hitbox for the player seems far outside of yourself. You basically have a lightsaber to block/deflect the drone blasters, but I still seemed to get hit even when blocking a number of times, and that doesn't count when the blasts just fail to collide with your sword at all. The bolts also have pretty large hitboxes, larger than their animation it seems, leading to shooting a drone repeatedly only for it to not die when expected because it shooting at the last minute cancelled out one or two of your shots. Last Stand The most fun of the three games, but there are a lot of games with much better bow play, including the bow that comes with Oculus Home. To nock an arrow, you have to be right on the center of the bow (which isn't even how bows work), while even a bit to either side of the dead center of the long "center" part will fail. Arrows also have far less speed and are far more affected by gravity …
