About Walking Zombie: Shooter

Walking Zombie is our small side project about the unlucky survivors in a world destroyed by the zombie apocalypse. You will buy and upgrade weapons, kill tons of zombies and enjoy many different environments and boss fights. It also features an online co-op mode because everyone needs a little bit of human warmth and an extra pair of gun-wielding hands in a world full of zombies!

Walking Zombie is a first-person shooter with a cooperative mode where you play as a rather immobile survivor of the zombie apocalypse. Don’t ask us how (you will learn in-game) but you lost your leg, so there is no way to retreat – it is either you or them. As you progress, you will upgrade your weapon, unlock new ones and buy some grenades or medkits.

The world of Walking Zombie might be a little bit too blocky to cause terror in your heart but it definitely isn’t a safe place. Your character learns that the hard way when he loses his leg while searching for an important medicine. There is no pleasant apocalypse!
You will have to take your gun and kill all zombies that are attracted by the smell of your brain, defeat huge boss monsters and fight in the arena for the amusement of the last human survivors.

This game is fun if you just want a game with all achievements. It's pretty simple, it's just a cubic zombie shooter game, and even if I find it somehow enjoyable, I definitely do not recommend it. There are still some good points, the variety in the zombies, weapons, levels, and bosses... But that's it. There is no story, the dev started something and then just stopped, and I completed all 200 levels, so I know that there is no story even at the end of the game. At first there were some cutscenes and dialogs, the game tries to introduce characters, and it just forgets about everything and just spits 150 more levels at you. Sad when the game even tries to justify with the story that it's just a shooter when you can't move. It just feels lifeless. There is also a big balance issue, levels just throw squishy zombies at you at a slow pace or vomit 10 bulky ones at once. Some levels were not fun, even with the tools the game gives you. I liked that there were a lot of weapons, but I disliked that it's a "weapon better than the previous one", so you just buy them because they're stronger, not because you want to use them, but at least it makes you play a bit of everything, I guess. …1 found this helpful
Walking Zombie: Shooter, developed and published by Alda Games, is a game that leans heavily into immediacy and accessibility, offering a stripped-down first-person shooter experience wrapped in a stylized zombie apocalypse. It doesn’t attempt to compete with large-scale, narrative-driven shooters; instead, it carves out its identity as a fast, mission-based arcade experience where the primary appeal lies in quick bursts of action and steady progression. This design philosophy is evident from the very beginning, as the game wastes little time introducing players to its core loop and letting them dive straight into combat. The gameplay structure is simple but effective. Players are dropped into contained scenarios where the objective is almost always the same: survive, eliminate incoming enemies, and complete the mission. Movement is often limited or guided, which gives the game an on-rails feel at times, but this also allows it to focus entirely on shooting mechanics and enemy management. The gunplay itself is satisfying enough to carry the experience, with responsive controls and a clear emphasis on precision, particularly when aiming for headshots. There is a rhythm to combat th…1 found this helpful

REGION LOCK! I bought the game for a friend and I. For some ridiculous reason, the devs made the decision to require you to complete the first 20 missions solo. After doing that, we find out there is a region lock and cannot play together at all.. do not buy this.
I'm a fan of pixelated games, especially when it comes to zombies. They're so much fun. The Walking Zombie seems a little more premium when it comes to pixel and zombies. The graphics are pretty good for these times, the shooting system, the weapons in the game are also very good. The story isn't that brilliant, but you don't need it for a game like this. I can't wait to play the 2nd part with the story and a lot of new systems, and it's also open world. For a $1 game, I had 4 and a half hours of gameplay. I highly recommend it, especially for kids!
