About Wall Walker

You know in most VR games you get around with teleportation right? What happens if you try to teleport onto a wall? In most games it just fails, but what if instead, you actually teleport onto that wall?

Wall Walker WAS going to be an exploration of this concept, but then the Snowmen RUDELY INTERRUPTED!

Ohh you also get to throw cubes. Players love throwing cubes.

Wall Walker is designed for the Vive, but technically should work on other headsets.
Experienced on the Oculus Rift with Touch Controllers
I'll be honest and state that I'm making some assumptions when writing this review which may make my review inaccurate. The reason for that is because I'm stuck on the last level. I'm assuming that third level (snowmen in the graveyard) is the last level for this game. I review games based on content, quality, and price. If this game only has those 3 levels, then in my opinion, it is very light on content for the asking price. I've seen this type of game in VR before, but it's done nicely here. Basically, you're teleporting around a certain area, but you can only teleport in that area. So you have to manage how to get from point A to Point B and your perspective changes as you can go sideways or upside down. You start off by having to throw these little squares to the goal where gravity is directing the little squares in a certain direction, all while you may lose your sense of direction as your perspective changes. Later on you'll be having to use switches and even make…

Unashamedly, I'm a big fan of puzzlers that not only test your mind, but also bring something new to the table. Not only is a VR puzzler a new experience for me, but the concept of the game is fresh and literally makes you look at problems from many perspectives. Wall Walker forces you to make use of context clues to orient yourself. While the game (and its developer) doesn't take itself too seriously, the puzzles are still a serious challenge. You will certainly feel as if you've accomplished something. Some puzzles certainly require patience and persistence. They are worth it.

at first I was like, "what the heck, lame!" but the more I played it, I was "this thing is blowing my mind!!"
