About WALTO

Step onto the boundary of the land of rabbits, where darkness has settled. Here, frenzied rabbits swarm incessantly, and survival demands combat. In the aftermath of each clash, all that remains are fallen rabbits and a brief return of silence. There is no mercy for ruthless predators. A swordsman who dominates the air and rains down blades, a golden fortress that nullifies every strike, and a colossal disaster that crushes the earth and devours entire cities—predators bearing the form of rabbits tighten their grip around your throat.Anomalous three-stage offensives — As the rabbits are driven into a corner, their attacks shift in nature. Predators pushed to their limits unleash transformed patterns and brutal assaults, testing your response.Offense-defense integrated action beyond limits — Your senses are your weapon. Chain evasions that break through enemy assaults, dash slashes that exploit openings, and instantaneous, powerful combo attacks that leave no room to recover. In an extreme struggle where the boundary between defense and offense collapses, devastate the predators.

I’ve already defeated all the bosses. The game is fun, even though the controls and the attack and evasion mechanics are pretty simple. The bosses are quite challenging, with each one having its own attack patterns and different ways to defeat them. For me, though, the final boss felt a bit too easy because its attack patterns were too simple, and it seemed to teleport away from the player more often when approached, only performing basic attacks or counterattacks when hit while in defense mode.

Played this game for 3 hrs and honestly it was really great. I’ve never played this kind of game before and I really loved the concept of not giving us a traditional health bar. Instead the game gives us a number of hits which I especially loved. Understanding the triggering system while fighting a boss was also crazy good and so much fun. Thank you for making this game

A short, fairly challenging, boss rush game that was genuinely fun to play. The game isn’t long. I went for no-damage achievements, so my playtime is considerably longer than your average experience will be. Each boss presents a unique style of fight with legitimately fair move sets that are master able without eye rolling unnecessarily cheap nonsense. It is here is a fair challenge, have at it. Now, the final boss, which was upgraded when I played, was still fair but felt needlessly difficult. Eventually I got the hang of his move set, coined the phrase “locked in burnout,” and beat him. Downsides are that there are a few bugs, nothing game-ruining, and one I didn’t even know was a bug until I reran the first boss (Phase 3 didn’t scene transition). Hitboxes are fairly good, but a few times they were noticeably a bit off. It's more of a problem when going for no-damage achievements than when playing through the game. The game is short, but it’s cheap, so I’ll not count that as a negative. Though as the disclaimer says, I received a copy for free, which I streamed (link below). Disclaimer: Received key for free. Haven't played a boss rush before, but I can recommend this one without a doubt. I've only tackled the first 3 bosses so far, but had a TON of fun understanding how the boss functions without all the runbacks you see in metroidvanias or souls-likes (well they have their own charm, but it's refreshing not worrying about being the right level for the boss, needing to walk past 20 enemies to get to the boss. So far, the first 3 bosses have been unique enough to keep me engaged. There are some issues, that come with every game, but for the price tag, I cannot recommend this enough.
