About War Mongrels
War Mongrels is a tactical stealth game where you command a squad of colorful characters through dark WWII missions, using creative environmental interactions like collapsing buildings and diversions to overcome enemies. Team up with a friend in co-op to build your roster of unique soldiers, each with distinct personalities and abilities, and adapt your approach between sneaking, shooting, and improvisation.
Do you enjoy a good mix of tactical elements, adventure, and stealth, all tightly packed into a dark, fascinating story? We felt it was a rhetorical question, so that’s the experience we’ve crafted ;)
Try different tactics in each mission. Distract the enemies or drop parts of destroyed buildings on their heads. The interactive environment opens up many tactical options for you to explore.

[h2] It was fine. [/h2] Enjoyable enough if you like the genre, but not near the top. Gets the basics mostly right, but was noticablity rigid with encounter approaches (unless you count going guns blazing flexibility) and polish was lacking which led to some frustrations with character actions/pathfinding. There is a story, but it's just used to bridge the missions, did not find it compelling. Also the animated style of the cutscenes didn't really match the seriousness of the tone they were trying to convey, felt like an odd choice. Briefing style cutscenes with recon photos and a map would have sufficed. It has co-op which was a welcome feature, not something you normally get with these tactics games. 7/10.4 found this helpful
