War of Rights is a multiplayer game set during the perilous days of the American Civil War, in the Maryland Campaign of September, 1862. Campfire Games is devoted to presenting the gruesome and glorious elements of the period, while maintaining the highest level of historical accuracy and realism as is possible with the wonders of CRYENGINE.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Players in the game will be able to play on multiple battlefields of the campaign, from the confluence of the Potomac and Shenandoah Rivers where the Siege of Harper's Ferry took place, to the ridgelines of South Mountain, and to the meandering waters of Antietam Creek at the Battle of Antietam. Additionally, players will also be able to choose from a list of regiments that fought in each battle as well as what rank to fight as, whether they want to slog it out as a lowly private, or if you want to orchestrate the carnage and mayhem as a major general.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀Uniforms and bodily features will all be customizable for other players to see as you march and fight in the lines of battle according to the tactics of the period. As a General, you will operate in your headquarters equipped with a map of the battlefield and constantly receiving reports of friendly and enemy positions. Send out new orders to the regiments to move forward, or fall back - all in real time. The orders will move down the chain of command, to the Colonels, Majors, down to the Captains in charge of the individual regiments, all of whom have the option to follow the orders of their trusted commander, or rebel against his wishes and fight as you see fit.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Each map contains a period reconstruction of the buildings, farms, forests, roads, and rocks as they were in 1862 so players can fight through the streets of Harper's Ferry, in the wooded heights of Fox's Gap at South Mountain, or in the cornfields and Bloody Lanes of Antietam. Players can feel the whiz of deadly shot and shell fly by their bodies, or hit their comrades or themselves as they scream in a bloody hail from their wounds. Limbs will fly and blood will be spilt once again as Campfire Games brings the fighting of the Civil War right to the player's computer screen!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Will you heed the Union call against the traitors? Or will you fight to defend your family and livelihood with the Confederacy? You decide!

Incredibly immersive. Unlike literally any other 19th century game, people are willing to cooperate and work together producing massive volleys of fire.

its alright. or im bad at the game. melee feels weird could be a personal problem. Its a fun game. it def has its pros and cons. i js wish you could attack with bayonets would be quicker it feels like your a slug while getting attcked by multiple people but idk ig that could be realism or wtv but personally hate it. i feel you should be able to attack more freely instead of waiting like 5 secs to swing again. i may be overexaggerating but it feels slow. REALLY LOVE spawning in with a unloaded gun i just love it. community is decent. i Rlly just dont like melee mechanics considering youll be charging alot it just doesnt feel smooth.

Pretty fun game, I went into this thinking it'd be like Holdfast but a bit more realistic. Instead I got something slightly more akin to Squad but with muzzle loaders and Regiment leaders that sometimes take this game a bit TOO seriously. Which leads me to my only complain so far. The game has a very niche community, most nights you can get into a full server, and just know that every night it's mostly the same players. Only a small handful of said players are regiment leaders, and just know that out of that small handful, there are some that are very, very power trippy. Most I've played with are pretty cool, but there are some that really, really take the wind out of my sails here. I had hoped the community would be pretty jokey and fun say like in other Mil Sims like Squad. Many groups in that game, while still treating the over game seriously, are chill to joke around with and goof off. The small community here treats the game like one to one reenactment. Not that I haven't found those who were willing to just relax, chat, and trade shots with the enemy team, but those folk were very rare to come across. All in all, if you want a hardcore line battle mil sim. Highly recomme…

A pretty decent game, very immersive and well worth the price. However, some of the players can be a bit, well, unconcerned with following traditional social norms, lets put it that way.

This is one of the most exciting first person Civil War games I have ever played! Have only owned the game a few hours at the writing of this comment but the muskets, battle field smoke, artillery and tactics are incredible! Will spend many more hours playing this game for sure!
