Good game. Better story and unit balance than Wargroove 1 along with more diversity in units and terrain tiles! Small community but alot of us enjoy this game and play for fun, along with helping others get better if they want to and get better if they want to. MarcoMapps runs events on Friday and Sunday, friday with the intent for community building and sunday with the intent to help set the atmosphere for those wanting to improve. Despite how many hours I've sunk into this sequel, I was left underwhelmed by the story and the potential of the characters. The game primarily focuses on the two new factions, which is fine on its own. However everything is dragged down by the heavy emphasis on character dialogue and humour suggesting that is targeted towards a younger audience. More talking, less fighting. What I also personally find disappointing is the lack of concept art made by the developers. No reward system for clearing a level with all stars. It is a shame. Although this sequel is hardly close to being as good as the first Wargroove, creating custom campaigns and the addition of a roguelike gamemode made the game tolerable enough to not give a thumbs down. If you're really committed to playing through both the first and second game, Wargroove 2 will give you some worth.1 found this helpful
Awesome pvp. Amazing map making mode. Being able to equip items is my favorite new edition. I hope they really lean into items in a dlc or wargroove 3.
The game is fun, a wonderful call back to Advanced Wars and an extension to Wargroove... But the online is terrible and might as well not exist. The same people troll it and most, not all, are just going to abandon the game after you take a turn. But the game is good otherwise, and I want a Wargroove 3, but with drastically better online. Blacklists and checking player profiles would be nice.
