Warriors of Vilvatikta is an earnest and culturally distinctive role-playing game that blends classic JRPG structure with historical inspiration drawn from Indonesian heritage. Developed by RPG Video and published by Back To Basics Gaming, the game positions itself as a traditional turn-based RPG at heart, but one that seeks to tell a story rooted in a setting rarely explored in the genre. Its ambition lies less in reinventing mechanics and more in offering a lengthy, story-driven adventure shaped by regional history, myth, and identity. I believe this is a translation of a south east asian game. But I don't know if I should blame the porting update or if the original game was already this bad. There are so many things wrong with this: The dialogue is full of spelling errors, the balance is awful and the game loves to waste your time with cryptic progression. It's such a shame because it's a novel setting for an JRPG, but the game is so bad that it feels more like an insult.
