Wartile is a cool-down based game that keeps the action flowing, with ample opportunities to plan your moves. Although it contains the strategic elements from turn-based games, a mixture of slow down features and cool-down based gameplay maintains the tension of battle while allowing for breathing room to make tactical decisions. At its heart, Wartile is a game about positioning and tactical decision making.
Your control the pace of battle
With Slow Time always available you can control the speed of the fight giving you an advantageous tactical benefit in critical situations where every action counts.
Collect & level up figurines and customize their equipment and abilities
Collect and level up an array of different figurines. Customize your Warband with armor pieces, weapons, unique combat abilities and set up your deck of Battle Cards, to provide a choice of tactical options before they embark on each quest.

Could've been turn based, but it's a weird real time pawns moving on a clunky board. The graphics are good, the voice acting is good, but the viking story itself is pretty boring. There's no real roleplay in this RPG, since everything is decided already, the story, the characters, the target goals. You only get to engage in combat, equipment and order of doing the chores for each map. There are more engaging RPGs out there, the aesthetic is cool, the game is playable, overall not worth downvoting. But keep in mind, not amazing.1 found this helpful
No. The controls are sluggish and unresponsive. Wait ... I already reviewed this. What happened to my review? Reviewed it on Aug. 28th 2026. I suppose the dev got butt hurt because I was painfully honest about it. We all should've known that they will delete your review on anything just because they don't like it. All the more reason I won't ever be pur-chasing from this dev. again. The digital game industry is failing if you didn't know Playwood Project.1 found this helpful
